A trio of birds has introduced some interest in the black poplar tree outside my window; a blackbird, a pigeon and this little jobby.

The light yesterday afternoon began to emphasise the drumlins, seen beyond the bottom of Gisburn Road in this picture.

John Clayton's pic of a large erratic at Slipper Hill. Rolled down by the glaciers from the north, a good geologist could tell you exactly where it came from.

Having grown up on one, and live on one now, I'm quite attached to our drumlins. I'd love to get a good image of them.

Not sure if the fell on the right of the picture, which is part of the Forest of Bowland and seen south of Waddington Fell from our house, is Parlick.
