Thanks for the sympathy kids. It's my back again and savage. The price for sitting here and typing is too high! You were right about my ancient aspirins, I have ditched them all and got new ones. I am on Paramol for three days..... More later.....

I've just been flattening the folding garden chairs and putting plant pots in sheltered places ready for the strong winds we are meant to be getting today. It is already quite gusty out there.

Hope Colin cooks something delicious for evening meal and has your favourite wine available, Wendy.
Mine did ( well...it was Prawns from the Takeaway, but they are my absolute favourite. How lucky is he?)

Hope it was a good day Wendy.
Much better this morning, I have ditched the Paramol and just taken two aspirins. I was right I think in putting it down to the old war wound in my back. The other great piece of news is that I had a tiny but significant bowel movement this morning. I know! Too much information but it is important!
I shan't do too much on the site but we'll see..... I shall continue the bed rest, it will take at least ten days to get out of the wood.....

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes, I had an enjoyable day. So glad that you are feeling some improvement Stanley....take things steadily.
Today I will be helping Col with plasterboard and perhaps going along to the Raikeswood Camp Dig open day in Skipton for an hour or so.

Back is still a killer at the keyboard, I'll try again later on, itching to post....
However, improvement continues. It's the same injury that hit me when I had the accident with the machine vise which went straight for an old war wound I have had for 70 years. I had no aspirin yesterday after 10:00 and have just taken two now and I'm waiting for them to kick in.
Everything else is fine, the summer cold is clearing up, my bowels are back on track and I have my appetite back. I'm a happier bunny now. Thanks for all the comments, calls and post cards..... Love to all.

They're fine now Maz thank you. Sewing up the front flap is a complete cure! Better day yesterday and a good start this morning. Cold has almost gone, pain is decreased and all other systems are back to normal. The keyboard is still a weak spot so I am being careful. Susan takes me to the Co-op this morning so I don't have to carry bags. I am on the mend but still taking the aspirin and Ibuprofen.....

Nice to know you are on the mend Stanley. We are just back from Whitby and have just dropped two of the grandchildren back to Silsden. Not before our Finlay had chucked up all his breakfast in the back of the car just after Sutton Bank. So, first job after unloading all the rest of the stuff was sorting that, glad it's not raining. I have a hugging of photos from the Steam Rally which will take me a while to get on the site. There were old wagons, tractors and motorbikes too so I shot quite a lot, glad I am no longer paying for 35mm and the processing.

Glad you are feeling better Stanley. Today I was mainly wondering why we didn't measure the doorways when we chose a new (to us) suite. The settee looks lovely in the hallway, whilst the chairs are in the living room. We played house tetris and lost. We're reviewing the situation........
