I ate a kid's meal in McDonalds this morning. His mother was furious.

He has just pissed off hundreds of thousands of women that all vote and probaly a large proportion of their partners and husbands who have all taken the hit as well of course.
None of the Waspi group women that I know were expecting full recompense. That brass has long gone and was squandered by the previous administration. The figures suggested by the Ombudsman although meagre compared to the actual loss would have placated many. Lot more woud have died before they got round to paying them all out, of that I have no doubt. If they can compensate those affected by contaminated blood and the gays kicked out of the armed forces who stand to get up to 70K apiece. Paying the Waspi's would have been small money in the vast scale of things.
It's one more straw and I know my back isn't invincible. I think I will have a word with our MP and see what his stance is. As I get older I could probably do with losing an odd hat and I hold a few for the Labour Party. The last time I sent my membership card back it was over an illegal war. Oh! hang on, Starmer is involved in one of those as well! Actually worse than the one Blair prosecuted as we are now funding genocide.
Probaly belongs in the politics thread but I'll leave it here as I and thousands of other mebers are being treated like fools.

Three of the hardest things to say (depending on what side of the pond you're from)
I was wrong.
I'm sorry.
Worcestershire Sauce.

Oh dear…. Santa can’t stop for toilet breaks, so he wears Depend underwear.

Ah, I think the equivalent here will be Tena products Cathy. I have never heard of 'Depend'.
Later.... I have looked and they are available here. I have never seen any mention of them.....

My first thought was that the joke referred to Santa wearing braces!
[Etymology: From Old French dependre, from Latin dependere, from de- ‘down’ + pendere ‘hang’.]
