When that's had its day, some of the herbs and rhubarb will be relocated as we have plans to plant something small like a box hedge arrangement in there and clip it to the shape of a reclining woman taking a bath. That should turn a few heads once it is established.

Careful Maz or you'll put the golfers off their game. I love the look of it in the corner of the back yard.

I don't know where your baths are Stanley but they look like they could do with a good clean, even for stock.

A more sombre note to the bath postings. This one won't be normally be found in a bathroom or even a patio. So what is it and where is it?

I agree with Tiz, but is it a Viking barrow which is another name for this type of coffin? I know there are some in a churchyard in North Yorkshire near Northallerton.

Tizer and Chinatyke are dead right (Oh dear) about the coffin but I must confess my ignorance about the Viking Barrow. There are similar 'plant pots' (there I go again) round most old monasteries but this one is nearer home (Barlick).

It has been correctly identified as Maz's 'allotment'. I was really impressed when I visited last October. It's so much neater than my veggie garden and the view from her back yard onto the golf course is fantastic. I hope you don't mind me posting it Maz.

Not quite there Liz. The shape is to do with the use though. Big clue, it was for feeding a bull.

Something to do with the ring on the Bulls nose, so it doesn't damage itself (nose) whilst eating??

You are so close Gloria I'm going to give it to you. If a bull has a square stone trough it will eventually break it as it rolls it about looking for more grub when it's empty. The round shape means that this one just rolls, it won't break. Very old and pre-dates metal troughs. I think troughs like this would often be used as plague stones....

You're struggling with this one. Think textile trades..... It's very old and made of small sections of heavy tinplate. A triumph of the tinsmith's art!
