Back to the Heritage Room again this morning, trying to sort out vehicle insurance this afternoon and I need to make even more courgette soup for the freezer. Courgette & Fennel soup was delicious.

I'm off to Leeds to visit Mum. I have to help her choose some new floor covering for her bathroom following a radiator leak that finished off the old carpet, take her food shopping and try to fix up a letter basket behind the letter box...must ask Col for instructions before I go.

My friend Wendy ( Margaret) and I are off to Event City in Manchester today. It is the Its All About Art exhibition run by the SAA with lots of free Art workshops with some of my favourite modern artists. I am really looking forward to it

I'll be following your lead Eileen. Did a bit too much in the shed yesterday and my knees are complaining. They need a day off!

Anyway I dragged out the polythene sack of oddments fmaterial the otherday and have made a patchwork and quilted pyjama case. I have designed an embroidered front for my embroidery machine and will do that. I have also embroidered a GUEST towel on the machine . Anyone know where i can buy cheap good towels to embroider

You can't get more 'summer' than a picnic munching strawberries. The family all went to the Olympic football at Coventry yesterday. Eve loved it ( do we have a footie fan in the making) She particularly liked when a footballer got hurt and the Drs came running out and made them better straight away!!!!!!!!

I am off to look at Mums and Dads headstone today, plus a visit to Oswaldtwhistle mill to try and get some cheap nice towels

Getting ready for more guests over the weekend. I'm thinking of walking down to Earby this morning, going to visit someone whose family have links back to this farm.

I will be continuing to put together some training on child sexual exploitation. The big boys are charging £500 per day or £85 per person for this type of training. I'll be charging a fraction of that for my first session on Friday. Nolic

When do you get to be a big boy? I seem to remember forecasting that you would be busy in 'retirement'.

Don't want to be a big boy in that sense. I'm happy doing what I want when I want and getting the reward of helping others develop. Nolic

I did decide to walk down to Earby, it took me just over 50 minutes to get down (to Banks Farm where Auntie Emily's used to be) and 70 minutes back up again. I had to almost run down as I realized that I hadn't given myself enough time. Crawled back though...
Had a nice chat to a lady who's mother was a Procter born at Hainslack and one of the last children to attend Black Lane Ends School back in the 1920's.

Puzzling on Wendys early morning Grammer. Plural Ponies and singular Foot , should work but doesn't quite seem right on second reading. I guess 'Foot Trim' should be read as one activity / task then it makes sense. The joys of English as she is writ.

Today I am going out as if I stay in any longer will have cabin fever. Also to get away from the Olympic's. I usually enjoy them but BBC coverage is appauling. You miss half of what's going on to feed the ego of the presenters, trying to justify their jobs. Eileen
