Yesterday afternoon we had rain as per the forecast. By 20:00 it was breezy and overcast but dry. There was no late sun and once again it was dark early. This morning first thing it was breezy and overcast but dry. It hasn't changed since. The glass is down slightly on 1010mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for a day of sunny intervals with an occasional light shower. The southerly winds will be light to moderate giving us a high of 21C and a low tonight of 11C with a wind chill of -2C at times. The outlook is for similar temperatures but perhaps drier and brighter.

Yesterday the sunny intervals never materialised, it was overcast and damp and indeed at teatime it was raining. At 20:00 it was heavily overcast but surprisingly we had a brief spell of late sun but it didn't last long. This morning it's overcast but not raining. The glass hasn't change since yesterday, it is a shade under 1010mb and the forecast is again for a day of sunny intervals. We shall see..... The constant WSW wind is moderate and gusts to almost 35mp[h giving us a high of 17C and \ low tonight of 8C with up to -3C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is similar but perhaps slightly warmer. Don't hold your breath, no Indian Summer!

Yesterday was an improvement but still chilly for the time of year. My heat came on and Ian told me that theirs did as well. The afternoon was drier but that wind kept things cool. By 20:00 we were back to overcast and there was only a brief spell of late sun.... This morning first thing it was overcast and chilly but dry. It's still the same. The glass is up on 1017mb and the forecast is for a dry day with sunny intervals. The wind starts in the SW and ends in the NW and is light all day. We can expect a high of 19C and a low of 8C tonight with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for similar temperatures, dry and bright but no Indian Summer!

Yesterday afternoon there was some real heat in the sun and it persisted. At 20:00 we had late sun. First thing this morning it was calm, overcast and dry. It's still the same now. The glass has risen to 1019mb and is still rising. The forecast is full sun all day after a misty start. The Easterly winds will be light to moderate giving us a high of 19C a low of 12C tonight and a wind chill that will reach -3C later as the wind strengthens. The outlook is for similar temperatures and bright dry weather as far ahead as can be seen.

Cool and windy for us , with the odd shower of rain.
Nights are still a bit chilly , but I haven’t had the heater on for a good week or so.
The birds and bees are still enjoying the last of the winter flowers.
🌸 We have lots of Blossom appearing everywhere 🌸. 😊

Yesterday afternoon was sunny but windy. By 20:00 overcast had started to come in so we had no late sun. This morning first thing we had evidence of recent light rain, it is still dry but breezy. The glass is down on 1017mb and the forecast is for an overcast dry day with the chance of a thunderstorm all day. The constant East wind is moderate and gusts to 30mph. We can expect a high of 19C and a low tonight of 14C with perhaps a -2C wind chill. The six day outlook remains for similar dry bright weather.

Nothing on the lightning maps yet. Nearest strikes at 11.30 this morning are in Northern Italy, Southern Spain and Turkey. There is also activity over the other side of the Atlantic in the Bahamas with some in mid ocean which could be coming our way.

No sign of lightning or thunder in Barlick but by 15:00 it was raining heavily. By 20:00 the rain had stopped and we had settled for overcast for the night. This morni9ng it is calm, dry and overcast with drying flags..... The glass is down on 1008mb and falling. The forecast is for an overcast but mainly dry day. However once more we have a yellow warning of thunder all day. (At least there is activity on Blitzortung today, their is a large active thunderstorm off the East coast south of Hull.) The wind starts in the East this morning and ends as WSW this evening and is light all day. We can expect a high of 19C and a low tonight of 12C with negligible wind chill. The outlook is for three cooler but brighter days and then slightly warmer but overcast.
