We got a heavy mist late yesterday afternoon, and it’s still lingering this morning. Miserable day in the offing.

You were dead right Gloria....
Yesterday was damper than even the forecast suggested. It was a damp miserable day, no actual rain but never dry.... This morning looks like more of the same up to now. It's overcast , damp and breezy.... The glass is down on 1014mb an d the forecast says we will, get sunny spells by dinnertime but I'll believe it when I see it. The westerly winds are moderate gusting to 30mph and giving us a high of 9C, a low of 1C tonight and a wind chill of up to -3C. The outlook gives us a brighter day tomorrow but colder and then even colder and a yellow warning for ice and snow on Monday and Tuesday. It looks as though November's respite might be over.

We had a lovely 22C yesterday, but today we have 36C (+12C above average) with hot northerly winds. 😞
A large portion of Sth Australia has been issued a Catastrophic Fire Warning.
Our temp should be down to 22C by 7pm. Sunset at 8pm.
Good news is that we have 19C for Sunday, and the week looks good. 🤞 😊

We had rain later on yesterday, and it’s started off damp this morning, not exactly raining, but there’s a dampness in the air.

Yesterday we had a brief spell of sun and then an afternoon and evening of very light rain showers. The sky cleared during the night and we had full moonlight from the super moon. This morning it's calm, clear and cold an we still have a brilliant full moon overhead. (Well, full on the 15th!) The glass id down a touch on 1011mb and the forecast is for some early brief sunny spells but then a day of mainly overcast with perhaps light rain but cold. The constant west wind is light and we can expect a high of 6C and a low tonight of -3C. We shall have a wind chill of -3C for most of the day and it will feel like below freezing until late morning. The outlook is for clear weather and sun but yellow warnings for ice and snow on Monday and Tuesday. We are having seasonal weather at last.

Yesterday afternoon turned out to be cold, wet and windy. It had stopped raining by 19:00 and we had a clear cold night with just odd scattered small clouds. This morning first thing it was calm, clear and cold with a good moon. It is misty now. The glass is down again on 1009mb and the forecast is for a sunny start and dry but gradually clouding over until by 20:00 we can expect light snow. The light wind will be in the north until evening when it will swing into the east with the arrival of the snow. The high today will be 3C and the low tonight -3C. We shall have a wind chill of up to -4C resulting in a perceived low of -5C in the early morning and never feeling above freezing all day. I think we can say that November has now delivered winter! The outlook is for it to be drier but colder with another yellow weather warning for tomorrow despite the sun.

No fog here Stanley, but we can just see the mist over the Ribble in the valley, bet it’s bitter down there in that.

We've lost the mist and it isn't freezing any more but they have changed the forecast from 19:00 on and for tomorrow. 90% probability of snow. Glad I am veggie shopping today! :biggrin2:

Yesterday the predicted snow came in around 20:00 and we have had a light fall during the night. This morning we have the occasional flake of snow but the forecast is entirely changed, They still have a yellow weather warning up for ice and snow but the today bright overcast, sunny spells and a dry day is the prediction. The glass is down again on 997mb. The constant northerly winds will be light and we can expect a high of 3C and a low tonight of -5C. The wind chill will be -3C or -4C all day. The six day outlook is for similar weather to today all week, perhaps slightly warmer next weekend.

We have snow, not much, just a dusting. Roads and pavements look pretty clear, just hanging about on fields and trees.

It's a good day for a brisk walk, I have my thermal trousers and big coat on. I'm currently in Colne Medical Centre for my annual eyeball screening and am down to my tee shirt, the trousers are still on and my legs are roasting. It's like an oven in here :biggrin2:

It's all going blurry now, the drops (to dilate my pupils) are kicking in.

I hated those drops Kev and couldn't believe they weren't harmful. That's why it didn't bother me when they stopped doing retinoscopy in Barlick. I rely on the annual test at the opticians which is far less aggressive....

The screening is voluntary and I haven't noticed any side effects since having the drops (25+ years).
Anyway, back to the weather. It's not too bad out, cold but no biting wind. There's only a dusting of snow down here, not sure what it's like up in the mountains with Wendy.

Yesterday afternoon we had some pale late sunshine but it was still freezing. We had a clear cold night with brilliant moonlight. First thing this morning it was calm, clear and cold, still a good moon overhead. It hasn't changed since. The glass has risen to 1004mb and the forecast is for it to be clear and dry with freezing temperatures all day. The constant westerly winds are light and we can expect a high of 2C and a low of -5C tonight. There will be a wind chill of -4C for much of the day. The outlook is for two more days like this and then on Saturday a complete change, temperature up and heavy rain. After that it will be a lot warmer , bright and dry.
