Well I may manage a swim today, I haven't been for weeks. This afternoon I shall try on and collect my dress for the wedding. Meanwhile back at the bridal house we have one very poorly bridesmaid. Fingers crossed that she will start to improve today or tomorrow.

It's that time of year Sue, everyone a bit run down after a long dark winter. We need Doctor Green!
I shall be moving forward with purpose in the shed.

Things are going well but slowly in the shed. The further you get into a complicated job like my current project, the more damage can be caused if you make a mistake! Thinking about Sue, I suspect the same applies to her dress-making! I shall be in there again as usual.....

Exactly Stanley. My sewing is on hold this week as my nails have been done for the big day. I don't want pin scratches and chips on my colour... :laugh5: I am not use to this. I am a hands on person. I have filled my time with swimming and non productive activities. Today we shall join the walking group

Erin only had only one chicken pox to scab over yesterday and is more like her normal self and my eye, no longer purple , is changing to a delicate shape of yellow. All is looking good for Friday, apart from the weather.

Yellow eye shadow could be quite fetching......

I shall be in the shed and we have found a partial solution to the image problem. Click to enlarge!

Today is the big day. Rain forecast, but I am sure it will not dampen the spirits or the fun. Eye back to normal , chicken pox better except for a few nasty scabs on her face.

Hope you all have a great day Sue.
I shall be in the Earby archive room this morning and then I'm meeting a friend for a walk. We will be sticking to the roads I think, as our usual offroad Kelbrook circular is a mud bath in places. We get a nice walk down through Lothersdale and back up Sidegate Lane to Hainslack....quite a workout!

You're right about the ground Wendy, I'd say it's beyond wet and is sodden!
I have done my share of miles this morning. In addition to my normal Friday morning trip to the butcher's I had to go to the PO centre on Ravenscroft Way to pick up a parcel and then go to the Co-op for the rest of my shopping. That plus some other tasks means that the shed will get a miss today. Things like defrosting the freezer ready for my next sheep, cooking and writing have to take precedence. It's all go when you have to support your own sky!

We had a wet but enjoyable walk this afternoon. Sidegate Lane is a long steep hill coming out of Lothersdale and it is definitely easier walking up it than down. Going down really hammers my hips & knees, but I was pleased that today my little legs had no problem with the climb....managed to keep on talking all the way up as well!

Nowt wrong with short legs Wendy, it means you are in a lower gear! (Here speaks a man with less than 29" inside leg measurement!)
I shall definitely be back in the shed this morning after yesterday's busy day elsewhere.

Did a bit of garden tidying yesterday. I never did get a winter tidy up done so I pruned roses , fuschias and. It back dead hydrangea flowers. I turned some soil and weeded my pots. I even discovered two flowering daffodils lurking in the pots beside the sunny wall of the back of the house. It was good to get out even if I did get rained on towards 4.00 pm.

The happy couple phoned just before they left for Cornwall for a week. They had a great day as we all did.

Hang on folks, I have only just come on to the site and was intrigued by Sue's post regarding uploading to the gallery. Early days, I have only done one test but it now appears to be working. Not my doing I hasten to add, it must be our American friend who has sorted it. I will have to have a catch up with Stephen as he is in contact with Mark. It's looking good though.

Mark has not been on the site since last Tuesday and there is nothing in the Admin log?

So today to come back on topic I will mainly be trying to find out how this has happened.

The weeding pics are lovely Sue. So despite all the alarums and excursions it went well! Good, I'm so glad for you.

I've just uploaded this to the gallery and posted it exactly as we did before. No problems. It's a miracle!
