But if I screenshot the image it's only 130kb if saved as a .png file and even less, 25kb, if saved as .jpg. Making it a bit bigger isn't going to crash the site.

For the record. I upgraded the virtual Hard Drive storage capacity a couple of years ago at least. The Gallery doesn't have a separate storage limit, it uses the same space as the posts and everything else on the virtual site. the 120GB virtual drive has 45.88% usage at the moment so will probably do another 2 or three years before we will need to contemplate more storage space.

The Gallery does have an individual file size limit of course and will reject oversized files.

Jury is still out on compatibility of the Gallery with the latest version of the board software.

That's reassuring Ian. I shall increase the size enough to help Peter!

I have an Apple iPhone and whenever I try to post a pic into OG (that I have taken myself on my phone), OG always says it is too big .
I come off the Topic and have to go back into my Photo’s , bring up the photo , then Edit / Crop / Change Size to ‘Square’ and press Done.
Then back into the OG topic and post the photo.

Most phones default to high definition files, it's one of the downers of having a super computer in your pocket. You can probably change that if you have a poke around in the camera settings. I don't do overpriced Apple stuff but I assume it's possible.

Just for a laugh I tried making a selfie. This would have been too big if I hadn't put it through Gimp and reduced it .
