Yesterday afternoon was overcast but dry. Isn't it strange that when I want a shower of rain to activate the washing soda on my paths we have a dry spell..... We had a dry overcast night and this morning it is calm, overcast and dry. It is almost mild, certainly not a cold morning. The glass is down a touch on 1032mb and the forecast is for a dry overcast day. The constant very light ENE wind allows us a high of 7C and a low of 6C tonight with a wind chill of barely -2C all day. The outlook is for more similar weather perhaps warming a touch into next week.

Yesterday afternoon was, again, overcast but dry. Susan reported sunshine in Skipton but we never saw it, just a lighter patch in the cloud cover! There was very light rain, wet mist really, during the night and that's what we have this morning, a wet mist under an overcast sky and hardly any wind. The glass is down on 1026mb and falling and the forecast is for a dry but heavily overcast day. The very light wind starts in the ENE and by this evening is WSW giving us a high of 7C and a low tonight of 1C with negligible wind chill during the day. The outlook is for slightly warmer and wetter weather. Nothing exciting!

Yesterday afternoon was again overcast but dry and mild with very little wind. This morning first thing it was overcast but calm, dry and mild. Since then the sky has cleared. The glass has fallen again to 1017mb and is steady. The forecast is for a bright dry day with frequent sunny spells but we have seen this before and I shall believe it when it happens. The constant westerly wind starts light and ends the day as moderate gusting to 30mph. We can expect a high of 7C and a low of 7C tonight with a -4C wind chill this afternoon when the wind strengthens. The outlook is for warmer, wetter weather into next week.

We had rain yesterday evening, and some during the night. This morning has a beautiful sunrise, it’s definitely milder, and looks set to be a nice day.

Back inside after a Co-op shop. Everything put away and when I have had a breather and a hot drink I will put my chicken in to roast. Then a hanger to stitch into a waistcoat.... It's all go!
It's full sun out there now after a very heavy dew..... not far off a frost I think.

Margaret says that Perth is very hot as well Cathy.....
Yesterday afternoon was as forecast, bright with sunny spells and reverting to overcast just before dark. This morning we have a breeze and light rain. The glass is steady on 1018mb and the forecast is for a heavy overcast with light rain all day. The constant moderate WSW wind will be gusting to almost 50mph later after increasing all day. We can expect a high of 11C and a low of 5C tonight with a -4C wind chill all day. The outlook is for three more wet mild days like today and then reverting to more seasonal single figure temperatures.

Yesterday, if there was any break in the constant light rain before 16:00 I didn't see it! The sky cleared for the early part of the night and we had a brilliant full moon. This morning first thing we had a light breeze, overcast and very light rain. It is still like that. The glass is up slightly on 1022mb and the forecast is for the rain to stop and after an overcast morning we could break out into sunny spells from Noon onwards. The constant WSW wind is consistently moderate all day gusting to 40mph and giving us a high of 10C and a low tonight of 8C with a constant -4C wind chill all day. The outlook is for two mild overcast wet days like today but then on Wednesday night the temperature drops and for the rest of the week it will be colder.

Yesterday ended in the usual way, dry but heavy overcast and in this case a blustery wind. It's been overcast during the night and this morning we have a dry morning with ragged broken cloud lit by a brilliant full moon. The glass is steady on 1022mb and the forecast is for an overcast day with rain expected from 14:00 onwards. The constant moderate southerly wind gusts to over 45mph giving us a high of 10C and a low of 9C tonight with a wind chill that reaches -5C at times. The outlook is for similar broken weather. At the moment the most likely forecast for Xmas is overcast. No surprise there.....

Yesterday afternoon was overcast and we had occasional spatters of rain. You couldn't really call them showers.... It was a mild overcast night and first thing this morning the moon was visible through a thin veil of mist which was damping everything like very light rain. Since then the wind has risen considerably and we have very light rain. The glass has fallen like a stone to 994mb and the forecast is for a day of heavy rain with a lull from midday to 16:00 when the rain will resume. The SW wind will be brisk gusting to 60mph this morning but dropping by late afternoon. We can expect a high of 10C and a low of 2C tonight with a wind chill of -5C for much of the day. The outlook is for a much colder day tomorrow and then extremely changeable weather in the run up to Xmas week warming slightly as we near Der Tag.

You were right Gloria!
Yesterday was a day when the promise of sunny spells was not fulfilled, once more we had dunkelflaute followed by light showers. This morning first thing we had the same scenario as the day before, Breezy and a bright moon overhead but veiled by a mist. Unlike yesterday, the sky is now clear and we have a bright moon overhead. The glass has risen to 996mb and the forecast is for a mainly sunny dry day. The constant WNW wind is moderate and gusts to over 35mph giving us a high of 4C and a low of 1C tonight with a wind chill of -4C for most of the day so it is going to feel like well below freezing. The outlook is for warmer but wetter weather and the forecast for the Christmas holiday is for dunkelflaute.... :biggrin2:

Yesterday we got the promised sun and as dusk fell in the late afternoon we still had a clear sky. First thing this morning we had a clear sky but now I see that thin ragged cloud is coming in from the west. The glass has risen to 1015mb and the forecast is for this overcast to build and last all day giving us rain until dark. The mainly SW wind will be moderate, gusting to 35mph and we can expect a high of 8C and a low of 5C tonight with a wind chill of as much as -5C when the winds are strongest. The outlook is for mainly warmer days with temperatures at 10C or above but yellow warnings for the next two days for wind. From Monday onwards we can expect dry heavy overcast..... So no white Xmas for us!
Later at 04:30.... It has started raining.....

Yesterday the rain came in after dinner and ceased before 16:00.I think it was clear for much of the night but is overcast and breezy this morning. The Met Office says it is raining but so far its dry. The glass is down on 1008mb and the forecast is for rain all day with sunny spells possible. I shall believe these when I see them. There is a yellow warning for wind. The mainly SW winds are the story today, they are constant and brisk and gust to 55mph. We can expect a high of 10C and a low of 0C tonight with as much as -6C wind chill at times. The message is, wrap up well if you are going out! The outlook is another day of wind, showers and possibly sunny spells tomorrow and then a week of overcast and possibly not a lot of rain. Heilige dunkelflaute nacht!
