Fancy not knowing what an ibc is!

Sorry David, I should have given an explanation, but now you can slip it into conversation anytime.

No David, you weren't the only one. I suspected that was what it was but didn't know for sure.....
Yesterday we were very lucky here on East Hill Street . The wind did a lot of roaring but we never felt it, I suspect we were sheltered by the Weets and the fact that our rows of houses were at ninety degrees to the wind. We had a quiet night and it was mostly clear. This morning it's calm clear and cool and the glass has jumped up to 990mb from yesterday's low of 970mb. And is still rising. The forecast is for a bright dry day with lots of sunny spells and full sun at times. The westerly winds will be moderate gusting to 30mph and we can expect a high of 5C and a low tonight of -1C. The wind chill will be -5C at times. The outlook is for similar temperatures and mainly overcast but nothing to frighten the horses.

There has been a very light shower of rain that wasn't in the forecast!
09:00. It stopped raining and now it's snowing......

Yesterday afternoon settled down to a damp overcast which cleared later towards dusk and we had a clear sky for a while. This morning first thing we had a light breeze and fine rain blowing in on it. The wind has increased a bit now but it has stopped raining. The glass is up on 997mb and tending to fall. The forecast is for an overcast day and we can expect the rain to return late morning. The southerly winds will become brisk and gust to over 45mph and we can expect a high of 6C and a low of 3C tonight with a wind chill of up to -6C all day. The consequence being that it will always feel as though it is well below freezing. The outlook is for similar temperatures and perhaps drier and brighter after Monday. We are moving towards February with no dramas so far!

“It Ain’t Half Hot Mum”. We are not getting much relief from the heat.

Today we are +9C above the average daily high.

Rain?. There’s none in sight, don’t even think about it.

That's hot Cathy! Next thing we'll be hearing is reports of bush fires......
Later at 06:30. I've just been outside and that is a bitter wind. My mind goes to any poor person who is sleeping rough out there..... It must be torture!

We had short flurries of sleet yesterday and it was bitterly cold. It’s quite bright this morning but the forecast is not for it to last.

Yesterday afternoon managed to say dry. just! But later on before dark it started raining and I think we have had a cold wet night. This morning first thing we had a cold breeze and heavy rain and it hasn't stopped yet. The glass has plummeted to 968mb and falling. The forecast is for the heavy rain to stop soon and then we are promised a day of mixed fortunes and occasional showers but tending to get more gloomy and overcast as it progresses. The mainly southerly winds will be brisk and gust to 40mph. We can expect a high of 6C and a low of 4C tonight but with a wind chill of -5C all day. Very similar to yesterday. The outlook is for similar temperatures but after tomorrow it could be drier.....
(This is February weather..... "February fill-dyke, black or white!")

We’ve no snow, looks like it’s been wet in the night though. Quite a bit of cloud about, doesn’t look a good day.

Yesterday afternoon was bitter cold and we had some rain spatters. The night was overcast and first thing this morning we had a breeze, overcast and light rain. It's still overcast and but has stopped raining, just! The glass is up slightly on 969mb and the forecast is for a dry but overcast day. The light wind starts in the South but by 08:00 is northerly and stays there for the rest of the day. We can expect a high of 8C and a low of 3C tonight but with a -3C wind chill all day. The outlook is for similar temperatures but brighter and drier weather with night frosts.
04:15. It's raining again......

What they didn't tell us was that, in addition to it being overcast and gloomy, it was going to be raining well into the morning...... And yes, you're right, I am not thinking of walking for pleasure or shopping in it....

Yesterday afternoon was mostly damp and gloomy. It cleared during the night and this morning first thing it was calm. mostly clear and cool. It seems to be the same now but might be a bit overcast, hard to tell. The glass has bounced back to 990mb and rising. The forecast is for it to develop into a clear day with full sun. The W to NW winds will be moderate and we can expect a high of 6C, a low of -3C tonight under clear skies and a wind chill during the day of up to -4C. As for the outlook, we can expect a dry week of similar temperatures but varying degrees of overcast.

I've been for my walk and a bit of shopping. It's a lovely day out there as long as you're wrapped up. (But I didn't sit on my bench!)

Yesterday afternoon stayed clear and sunny. We had a clear night and this morning it's calm, clear and frosty. The glass has jumped up again and is on 1011mb and rising. The forecast is for another bright sunny day but with perhaps a bit more bright overcast.... The westerly wind will be light to moderate and we can expect a high of 6C and a low tonight of 1C with -4C wind chill possible at most times. The outlook is for similar temperatures but possibly more overcast. Nothing serious in prospect.

Yesterday stuck to the forecast and we had a bright dry day. It stayed light well into the evening. We had an overcast night and this morning we have a breeze and it's raining. The glass is steady on 1015mb and the forecast is for the rain to cease by 06:00 and after a spell of mist we can expect an overcast but dry day. The light easterly winds will give us a high of 6C and a low tonight of 1C. We start the day with a -4C wind chill but this soon drops with the wind to -2C for the rest of the day. The outlook is for similar weather with a mix of sunshine and overcast. It isn't looking like February fill dyke yet!
