A straight steak pudding for dinner. I did veggie shopping and called in at the Fleetwood Fish van. So a wild sea bass fillet and mushy peas for tea.
Today is veggie cooking and starting a stew with a base of cubed steak.

Are you still taking your daily multi-vitamin, Stanley?

Not every day Maz but yes, it works out at alternate days.... Not sure that it's essential but it is certainly not doing me any harm.
Yesterday I cooked veggies and started building a beef stew, Dinner was some young gravy from the stew, veggies and a steak pudding. Tea was the same but a small beef pie.

The beef and veggies lasted nicely for both dinner and tea giving a clean up and fresh start for butcher's day today. I have resolved to have a mainly fish week by eating my way into the freezer! My next delivery of mutton will be here shortly. No Xmas orders, the only seasonal variation may come when I order a wrap-up as they finish for the holidays, I never know what I get in them and it can be interesting!

Steak pudding and peas for dinner again (I love Kathy's steak puddings!). Tea was peas and mixed veggies with a fillet of breaded haddock. I still allow myself my nibbles after tea of nuts and 20gm of dark chocolate followed by one apple, the Cox's are magnificent this year! Funny thing is I haven't seen any russets, another favourite.

Made a pot of Soup this morning (Leek/Potato/Pumpkin and Sweetcorn) That is dinner sorted for two nights. It is cold, wet and windy today, so that will go down a treat.

Now there's a coincidence. Over the last two days I have soaked dried marrowfat peas and cooked a ham shank and stripped it. I had put lentils in overnight and yesterday gave the peas a last boil and put them in as well. I boiled carrots and grilled sausages and dinner was boiled carrots and the gravy off the soup with two cut up sausage, a bit liquid but nice. I had put Gram Flour in and by teatime it was thick and creamy so I had that for tea but saving the sausage for today.

One Cumberland sausage and the ham and pea for dinner. The same for tea but with cod fish cakes. I have extended the ham and pea with a large chopped Spanish Onion to give it bite and crunch. (This getting to be a favourite move with me, gives it a lift!)

Exactly the same as yesterday. The crunch of the onion and pickled gherkins in the veggies is lovely! Little bursts of flavour in the meal.

Your taste buds are "unique" to say the least, Stanley.

Chicken Curry tonight (with no weird ingredients). Might do a few chips with it - rarely had these days, so we will enjoy them. I just don't fancy Rice...

I think that applies to all of us Maz. I like little bursts of flavour and crunch.
Yesterday I had the ham and peas with sausage for dinner and the last of it at tea time with a deep fried battered Haddock fillet. All of them laced with gherkin bombs!

Tried ALDI Thin Beef Sausages tonight ( on our eternal hunt for nice sausages). We both enjoyed them, so they will be bought again....in fact, although I can only eat one sausage, and not more than once a fortnight...I have to say it was most enjoyable.
(We have had some horrible ones!)
So it was Sausages and Salad tonight, with a boiled egg and Beetroot. ( love Beetroot!)

Brown's make and sell their own sausages and they are superb Maz.
I had steak pudding and peas for dinner and a small pork pie and peas for tea. I also slow roasted a lump of mutton rib, I shall dissect it this morning and see where we go from there!

Browns are a bit far away for us... :laugh5:
From what we have discovered, our "local" butchers either don't make their own sausages, or they add garlic.
Garlic is becoming the new sugar. It is finding it's way into so many everyday things, it is ridiculous. I read a recipe for a beef casserole today in a magazine that had 15 cloves of garlic in it. This is getting beyond ridiculous. I feel sick just reading a recipe!

Your garlic aversion is a real handicap Maz.
I had sausage and baked beans for dinner and cooked sprouts and carrots. By teatime the mutton and tomato stew was on song so I had veggies and stew.

Dead easy, Mutton stew, carrots and sprouts X two for dinner and tea. Just the ticket for this weather!
