Homemade Cheeseburgers with a few chips cooked in the Air Fryer.
( had to make the Beef Patties myself, as anything similar on offer at the supermarket contained the regulation Garlic...I don't mean to moan Stanley, but it is getting to the point where you can't even rely on a simple sandwich from a cafe being garlic free..."sorry madam, all we have without garlic is a Cheese and Tomato Sandwich". Sigh...you should try reading labels in the supermarket. You would be shocked how many everyday products contain Garlic. I wonder if people falling ill with gastric pain ever consider that they only need to avoid Garlic and their tummies will be happier)

I never said you were moaning Maz, I fully understand. Such a shame your body won't tolerate it.
I'm so glad I don't seem to have any aversions at all, just likes and dislikes. Tiz is in the same boat as you of course.

That looks very appetising Maz. Quite fancy it but oh dear, the carbs.....
Mutton and veggie stew with gherkin bombs added for dinner and tea.

I didn't eat it all...and I've walked for Australia today! Paid for my sins.

Could have...but guilt intervened...I seem to have "carb sensors" now that override desire!

Good!
The mutton and veggies lasted nicely for dinner and tea. Butcher's day today.

Waste not, Want not.
Shopping day tomorrow so I chopped and Mediterranean Style roasted all the veg left in the fridge. Made a shortcrust pastry and blind baked the tart case....threw it all together with some sliced cooked sausage...threw some cheese on top. Better than throwing good food away. ( :biggrin2: I shall avoid the pastry, though I am sure it is delicious)
This was taken just before I popped it in the oven...

"Better than throwing good food away."
Anything is better than that Maz. Too many hungry people and to waste food is an insult on top of injury towards them.

Why the line under my comment? How did I ( inadvertently) do THAT?!

You hate wasting food. Why did you bother with the pastry base if you are not going to eat it. The roasted veg dish would have worked just the same without it.

Ah...but I wasn't just feeding myself and others prefer the pastry base...

Funny about your comment...halfway around the supermarket this morning, hubby declares he is forthwith on a low carbohydrate diet! We've been on a reduced carbohydrate diet for almost an entire year! He is still feeling guilty about eating a three course meal (plus drinkies) at his work's Christmas Party on Thursday!
(Mind you...we did have that wicked Hamburger the night before....and then the pastry last night. Fair dues. I have let the side down these past few days. He will think he is in a war zone when he gets his dinner tonight! I am back on task!) :extrawink:

" I am back on task!)"
Just as I go off piste for comfort food. Had two very small caramelised onion Ciabatti rolls with fried egg for dinner and one for tea with Roquefort cheese after Buffalo Wings and Onion rings.

It's ciabatta rolls that lead me off the path of righteousness every time.

I know the feeling David, I refuse to punish myself when the evidence is that I can tolerate an occasional lapse!
Yesterday I had a steak pudding and freshly cooked veggies for dinner and a fresh wild bream fillet cooked in butter and lemon juice for tea with onion rings and peas. Lovely!

Funny thing is, that hubby usually needs to be coaxed off the computer to come and have dinner.
Lack of carbs for over 24 hours and he was stood at that kitchen bench 15 mins early, watching me put the Chicken Salad together. He was hungry... :laugh5:
