Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER

Same with us Gloria but it was sunning before 10:00.
Yesterday we had good sun right up until nightfall. I think we had a mainly clear might and this morning we have a breeze clear sky and it's cool. The glass has risen a touch to 1021mb and the forecast is for full sun to start with but then reverting to sunny spells for the rest of the day. The mainly ESE wind is moderate and allows us a high of 14C and a low of 7C tonight with a -2C chill for much of the day. Tomorrow is forecast to be gloomy but then we get into a spell of improving, warmer, dry weather for the remainder of the month and into May.

Wall to wall sunning, and it’s quite pleasant out, no sign of a frost.

Yesterday the full sun lasted until nightfall and then I think we had an overcast but dry night. This morning it is calm, overcast and dry and that's the forecast for the whole day. The glass is steady just below 1020mb. The light winds are easterly until noon and then back through south to SSW for the rest of the dry day. We can expect a high of 13C and a low of 6C tonight with only a slight wind chill. The outlook is good, dry much warmer and lots of sun.

We are having beautiful days and cool nights. I wish it could stay like this.
No rain unfortunately, just the odd unexpected light shower.

Similar temps to Barlick 😊.

Yesterday was true to the forecast and was mainly overcast but dry. This morning the sky is clear and it's calm and dry. The glass is steady on a shade over 1020mb and the forecast is for a clear sunny start to the dry day but gradually clouding over late this afternoon and then brightening again to give us late sun. The wind is mainly SW and starts light becoming moderate slowly as the day progresses. We can expect a high of 16C and a low tonight of 6C with a wind chill of -2C for much of the day. The outlook is getting brighter and warmer as the week progresses.

Yesterday afternoon was as forecast, first a spell o0f bright overcast and then sunny spells again until nightfall. The glass is up on 1022mb and rising and we have broken overcast with a light breeze. The forecast is for a dry day with long sunny spells. The gentle breeze will be WSW all day until this evening when it swings to the north. We can expect a high of 17C and a low tonight of 8C with a slight chill all day. The outlook is excellent, warmer, sunnier and drier all week.

Yesterday was a bright day but with broken light cloud at nightfall. This morning it's calm and clear. The glass is just reaching 1025 and tending to rise. The forecast is for full sun all day. The light wind starts in the east and finishes up tonight in the NW. We can expect a high of 22C and a low tonight of 7C with a slight -2C chill later on in the heat of the day when it will be welcome. The outlook is for more of the same all week.

Yesterday was an even better day and we had full sun right up to nightfall. It was a mild night and this morning we are calm clear and mild. The glass is on just above 1022mb and the forecast is for another day of unbroken sun. The very light winds swing from SE to NW during the day. We can expect a high of 23C and a low of 6C tonight with negligible chill.... We can expect another day like this tomorrow and then we start to cool down to more seasonal temperatures.....

Yesterday was full sun right up to nightfall and then clear skies overnight. This morning it is calm, mild and clear. The glass is down on 1017mb but steady. The forecast is for another day of full sun. The westerly winds are light all morning and become moderate in the afternoon. We can expect a high of 23C and a low tonight of 5C with a -3C wind chill this afternoon which will be a nice respite form the heat! It will stay fair over the weekend but slightly cooler. Then next week we sink back to more typical May weather but it was nice while it lasted!

Yesterday was the hottest day yet and we had full sun right up to nightfall and then a clear sky during the night. This morning it's calm and clear. The glass is down a touch on 1015mb and the forecast is for a dry day with full sun. The difference today is that the constant light wind will be NW all day and gives us a high of 16C and a low of 2C tonight with a chill of -2C at the most this afternoon. The outlook is for sunny weather but the temperature will slowly fall over the weekend to more seasonal levels next week.....

We've got the sun Kev and it's a very pleasant day.... I have improved the shining hour by declining to watch Ronnie getting whitewashed this morning (He's losing 12-4) after watching the first two frames. Obvious my hero was not getting it on.
Then I cooked savoury cabbage and onion....

I agree Gloria,
Yesterday was a very pleasant day with what is perhaps best described as sunny overcast tempered by a mild breeze in the afternoon. We had good late sun and a clear night. This morning it's calm, clear and mild. The glass id down slightly on 1014mb and the forecast is for a dry bright day with more wind than of late.... We start the day with a light westerly wind that soon strengthens and gets into the north, gusting to 30mph. We can expect 17C with a low tonight of 2C and a chill from noon onwards of -3C. Expect a cooler day tomorrow and then a climb back to similar weather to today all next week.

Yesterday we eventually got a bit of sun in the afternoon but not much. However we had late sun and a clear sky until after midnight when it clouded over. This morning we have a calm overcast morning but it's dry. The glass is up slightly on 1017mb and the forecast is for a sunny start but then a bright overcast day, the sun returns later in the evening and it will be dry. The constant NE wind becomes moderate and gusts to over 30mph this afternoon. We can expect a high of only 12C and a low tonight of 2C with a wind chill of -3C this afternoon. We can expect another cool day tomorrow and then we swing back up into warmer sunny weather and perhaps a return of the high pressure systems.....

Yesterday afternoon was bright overcast and dry but it was a cool wind. I think we had clear spells early in the night but later it became overcast. This morning we have a light breeze and overcast, it's possible we have a grass frost. (The CH has come on.) The glass is up on 1022mb and the forecast is for a dry day of sunny spells with a late evening period of full sun as the sky clears.... The northerly winds will be light to moderate gusting to nearly 30mph and allowing us a high of 14C with a low of -2C tonight. The wind chill will be as much as -4C at times this morning.... The outlook is for the weather to be dry sunny and warmer. We are shortly going to be hearing complaints of drought, it seems a long time since we had significant rain.

Yesterday afternoon became sunny eventually but it was a cold wind. This morning it is calm and clear. The glass is up on 1023mb and rising. We are promised a sunny start then an overcast afternoon and if we are lucky, sunny spells towards the end of the day. The light northerly winds will ensure that we start the day with a light frost then a high of 15C and a low of 5C tonight. The chill will be negligible because the wind is so light (But my CH is on already). The outlook is for a similar day tomorrow and then getting warmer and brighter as the pressure rises.

(PS. Remember what I said about drought? I heard drought in Scotland this summer mentioned on the news this morning.... )
