Eggs for breakfast than cooking veggies and meat balls. Tea was the last of the Bombay Chicken with added sprouts! (Eat your greens Stanley!)

Aw bless ya Stanley. We are all good, few weeks off the full divorce but we are doing the things we enjoy. Seems like walking and eating in pubs is a high point for me and the dogs!

Sounds good Christian....
I had meat balls and veggies for dinner and fell off the wagon at teatime with two small Chiabatta rolls stuffed with pickle and Xmas Stilton, it needs eating! Then a very small bread and butter pudding with clotted cream for pudding.

I am roasting tomatoes and garlic (sorry Maz) at the moment to make passata, so it's likely to be spaghetti bolognese for us. The rest will be frozen for bases for casseroles and curries.

I have to do some cooking for Jack, his best mince is cooking and I have to grill 12 sausages for him. You should be looked after like this dog!

Quiche and Salad. No afters.
It was yummy! ( didn’t eat my pastry...just nibbled the crusty edge and felt guilty :laugh5: )

I casseroled two small pork joints wrapped in bacon that came with the wrap up. Augmented with veggies and onion rings. Last of the Meat Ball and veggies for dinner and the casserole for tea.

My second harvest of Rhubarb is ready. I stewed the first lot with a tiny bit of sugar, and it was delicious.
Might make a Rhubarb Slice with this lot.
( Rhubarb is a funny plant. It only grows where it is happy. Ours loves being in the front garden!)

It surprises me it can grow with you Maz. Our varieties need a good frost in winter to keep them healthy....
I had cheese on small oat cakes for breakfast and a small helping of the casserole for tea.

Sausage and an egg for dinner. Tea was at Susan's, roast chicken dinner and cherry pie and cream for pudding. Very nice to be cooked for!

Made a Rhubarb Shortcake with my Rhubarb harvest this morning...(likely most of it will go in the freezer for future visitors).
I’ve had such a good lot of Rhubarb this season. At least the cold Winter was worth it for the Rhubarb.
Still mulling over what to cook for our evening meal tonight. I have several choices, so I will wait until my tummy decides what it wants.
I’ve cleaned out the fridge and crisper, ready for tomorrow’s shop.

Never do Maz, a small amount of carbs doesn't affect me any more than a normal person.
Sausage and egg for dinner. Sausage and veggies for tea with added plum tomatoes and olives.
Butcher's is open after the holidays, I am steak pudding deprived!

Bought some sausages today. I’m not sure I really fancy them for tea tonight though. I am more in the mood for a Cheese Salad Roll. I will let D decide what he fancies...

I love Cabbage and Carrots cooked long and low with minimum water and a slice of pure butter ( and a bit of salt and pepper) ..absolute heaven, and it is the only way I can get cabbage into my husband. Of course, he loves it next to the mash and sausages, slathered in slow cooked onion gravy.
( I did not enjoy my sausage...ate about a half of one...but I just didn’t like it. D did. He ate three sausages!!!)
I would have preferred Cheese Salad. :biggrin2:

Maz. Steaming is good as well and one of the few things microwaves cook well in a closed casserole with a drop of water.... I had steak pudding and minimum veggies for dinner and the last of the casserole for tea. I'm keeping a very close eye on portion size, no point carrying extra weight round!

I had a full on “hypo” today...not pleasant! I had eaten breakfast and it started coming on about 11am. We were out at the country markets, and the only food on offer there ( pies/pasties/sausage rolls ALL CONTAINED GARLIC.) ( I couldn’t believe my luck! Or lack of it!)
Anyway, we made it the 20 mins home. I made a sandwich, but was feeling like fainting by the time I ate it.
I Took my blood sugar as I ate and it was 4.0.
It took me 2 hours to feel really better.
( I only take a half Metformin in the mornings but I shall give it up if I have another episode like that!)
