Yesterday afternoon was disappointingly dull and cool and we had an odd shower. There was no late sun, the overcast was solid. This morning it's breezy, damp and cool, we have had a recent shower and the heating is on. The glass has risen slightly but is still on a low value at 998mb. The forecast is for a day of sunny intervals and frequent showers until midday. The constant WSW wind will be moderate all day gusting to almost 30mph and allowing us a high of 15C and a low of 9C tonight with a wind chill of -3C all day. Tomorrow will be a wet day and the following five days will be very similar to today unseasonably cool.

Much the same as you yesterday Stanley, at the moment we are having a heavy shower, and it’s none too warm out.

My car was showing 8 degrees at 06:15, certainly not the warmest of mornings. Some heavy showers on the M65 near Blackburn too

I have just had a short walk to the Co-op for milk and while that sun is warm when it's out, the wind is cool. No day for summer clothes!

Yesterday afternoon the clouds gradually took control and by the end of the day we had heavy overcast. This morning it's cool but the heat hasn't kicked in yet! We have heavy rain blown in on a breeze and the glass is fallen again on 997mb. The forecast is for heavy rain and wind until at least early afternoon. The west wind is constant and moderate giving us a high of 15C and a low tonight of 8C with a -2C wind chill for much of the day. No change in the outlook, it looks like a spell of unsettled weather and certainly not summer!
Asif to reinforce that last point, the heating was on at 05:00.

Yesterday afternoon remained overcast and there was no late sun. The sky was brighter at 22:00 than it was at nightfall. This morning we have a light breeze, it's overcast but dry and the heating was on for a while earlier on. The glass is up slightly on almost 998mb and the forecast is for it to start raining heavily about now and for the day to become one of sunny intervals and showers. The constant westerly winds will be light to moderate and will allow us a high of 15C and a low of 8C tonight with a wind chill of -3C for much of the day. The outlook is for similar weather until Tuesday after which it starts to warm up a bit perhaps....
Later at 04:30.... The first drops of rain are falling and the heating is on again..... Deep Joy!

Yesterday we descended into overcast again and no late sun. This morning first thing it was breezy cool and overcast but dry. It's still the same now even though the Met Office says we are having heavy rain..... The glass is up a touch on 1000mb and the forecast is for heavy continuous rain until noon when it eases into heavy showers and sunny intervals. The westerly winds start light but soon become moderate and give us a high of only 14C and a low of 6C tonight with a chill of -2C all day. We can expect three more days of similar broken weather and then on Wednesday a sudden rise to the mid twenties..... That will feel nice! (The heat has come on again this morning.... )

The Met Office are flagging up the growing possibility of thunder and hail later in the day.... Interesting to reflect that the Barlick Flood was in early June 1932..... As I keep saying, there is bound to be a repeat one of these days.....

We have steady, straight down rain, and it’s been at it all night. The reservoirs around us will be lapping this up.

Yesterday we remained overcast all day and had frequent light rain showers during the afternoon, it was raining at 19:00 when I went to bed and we had only a hint of late sun under the clouds. This morning it's breezy and overcast but no rain as yet. The glass is up on 1007mb and the forecast is for sunny spells but dry until late morning when the clouds will be much heavier. This afternoon we can expect sunshine and showers. The constant moderate W wind will have a spell in the NW this morning and we can expect a high of 14C and a low of 8C tonight with a wind chill of -3C this morning and for much of the rest of the day. Two more cold wet days tomorrow and Tuesday and then the weather brightens up a bit and we get temperatures in the 20s!
Later at 05:00. Surprise surprise! The heating is on......
Later still. The Met Office say that any haziness of the sun today is as a result of a strong jet stream bringing the smoke from Canadian wildfires across the Atlantic.

Yesterday afternoon was overcast and there was no late sun. The heat came on during the night and this morning first thing it was breezy, cool and overcast but not raining. It's still the same even though the Met Office thinks it's raining..... The glass has risen and is on 1015mb and tending to rise. The forecast is for a day of scattered showers with some sunny spells in the morning but getting more heavily overcast as the day progresses. The constant WSW wind will be moderate and we can expect a high of 14C and a low of 11C tonight with a -3C wind chill for much of the day. Tomorrow we see the start of a spell of warmer and brighter weather, closer to the seasonal norm.
Later, at 04:30. The heating is on again.....

Yesterday we were never far from a shower and when I went to bed at 19:00 it was raining and very dark. This morning first thing it was windy and wet, it's a bit calmer and only light mizzle now. The heating is on.The glass has fallen to 1007mb and the forecast is for it to dry up and become quite a sunny day. The westerly wind is quite brisk at the moment and is gusting to nearly 40mph but will ease down a bit as the day progresses. We can expect a high of 17C and a low tonight of 3C with a wind chill that is -4C at present and will be -3C for most of the day. The outlook is for more sun and warmer, we might get 23C tomorrow!

It's a bugger isn't it Kev..... As soon as we look like getting some reasonable weather you have to suffer. Once again I recognise how lucky I am. I hope it isn't too bad and that your counter measures work.
