Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon settled down to mainly overcast with the occasional light spatter of rain. This morning we have a light breeze and heavy overcast but dry so far. The glass is up on 1001mb and the forecast is for a day of heavy overcast and showers. The westerly winds will be light to moderate and we can expect a high 0f 18C and a low of 13C tonight. There will be a slight wind chill getting up to -2C this afternoon. Another day like this tomorrow and then it brightens up for the rest of the week....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday was fine all day. During the night we had heavy rain and it’s still raining this morning, although the sky does seem to be brightening up a bit.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday we never had the rain that was forecast only some light spatters. This morning it's calm and overcast the glass has risen to 1010mb and the forecast is a re-run of yesterday. Some late light showers promised but mainly a dry overcast day. The mainly WNW wind will be light and we can expect a high of 20C and a low tonight of 13C with only a slight wind chill all day. The outlook is for dry brighter weather but no heat waves....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon ended with a light shower of rain. This morning it's calm and overcast but dry. There is evidence of a recent light shower. The glass is up on 1015mb and the forecast is for a mainly dry and bright day with the chance of a light shower around midday. The constant westerly winds will be very light and we can expect a high of 21C with a low of 10C tonight and no appreciable wind chill. Expect a gloomy day tomorrow but after that brighter weather with quite a lot of sun.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon was mainly bright but we had one light shower at about 15:00. This morning is calm and we have broken overcast, some stars visible through the gaps. The glass is up slightly on 1016mb and the forecast is for a dry day with sunny spells all day. The constant west wind will be light to moderate and we can expect a high of 20C and a low of 13C tonight with up to -2C wind chill. The outlook is for similar weather but Monday and Tuesday could be a bit short on sun! Margaret tells me it's only 6C today in Perth....

Yes I read that Perth got down to 3C overnight.
They have forecast that Adelaide will get down to 4C overnight, in a week’s time. Brrr…

We have had a rough day today, weather wise.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday stayed dry and it was a pleasant day but the latter part of the afternoon was overcast, no late sun. This morning it's calm and overcast but dry so far. The glass is down slightly on 1014mb and the forecast is for a day of light rain and sunny spells. The westerly winds will be light this morning and moderate after midday gusting to 30mph. We can expect a high of 20C and a low tonight of 11C. There could be as much as -3C wind chill this afternoon. Look for a cooler day tomorrow and then gradually improving as the week progresses.

Yesterday was a wild day here. I’ve been nursing a rotten cold all week and have stayed home, but had to go out yesterday, it was awful having to do battle with the weather as well. I was the only person wearing a mask, and I kept using the hand sanitizer, hoping to stop others getting my rotten cold.
We had 26mm rain yesterday, with very strong winds. 19mm more rain to come over this weekend. At least the wind appears to have calmed.
I’m staying home, reading in bed. I’m all rugged up , but have my bedroom window open for the cool fresh air - you can’t take the Yorkshire out of the lass …

It is very still here, no breeze at all at the moment, there is light cloud about, and forecast of rain. There doesn’t look to be rain in the clouds and it’s quite muggy.

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday, if there was a shower of rain I missed it. The afternoon ended with late sun. This morning it's overcast, dry and cool with evidence of a light shower during the night. The glass is steady on 1015mb and the forecast is for a cool showery day with sunny spells in the late afternoon. The constant light to moderate west wind gives us a high of 17C and a low of 12C tonight with a -2C wind chill this afternoon. Next week we improve slightly with warmer weather and sunny spells but expect an overcast wet day on Tuesday.
Later.... I am getting reports from Perth that they are cold and wet wet wet! Our 17C today would feel warm to them.
05:30. we have light rain which wasn't on the hymn sheet....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday we didn't see a lot of sun but apart from an odd spatter of rain it kept dry. This morning first thing it was calm, overcast and dry. It's still dry even though the Met Office says it is raining.... The glass is steady on 1015mb and the forecast is for an overcast day with occasional showers but sunny spells also. The constant westerly winds will be light to moderate gusting to over 30mph this afternoon. We can expect a high of 20C and a low of 11C tonight with as much as -4C chill this afternoon. Tomorrow and Thursday will be gloomy and wet. Otherwise bright overcast and sunny spells.....

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday afternoon ended up being full sun and we had sun right up to nightfall. This morning it's calm and overcast but so far, dry. The glass is up slightly on 1017mb and the forecast is for an overcast and showery day with rain coming in any time soon. I've just poked my head out of the door and a few drops are falling...... The constant light westerly winds allow us a high of only 18C and a low tonight of 13C with only a -1C wind chill all day. The rest of the week is looking brighter and drier but not much warmer. It's not exactly high summer!

Re: TODAY'S PENNINE WEATHER
Yesterday the rain petered out by late morning and the rest of the day was mainly overcast. No late sun. This morning it's calm and clear. The glass is steady on 1016mb and the forecast is for an overcast but dry day with sunny spells early and late. The constant westerly winds will be light to moderate and we can expect a high of 19C, a low of 13C tonight and a -2C wind chill this afternoon. The outlook is for similar broken weather all week.
