Hubby has been told he needs to lose weight, so he came home from his GP and dumped that task in my lap. ( how many times in a single lifetime do I have to point out that I am not responsible for everything he puts in his mouth?)
His blood sugar was absolutely normal, so the doctor praised him for it. If his blood sugar is normal, he isn’t eating too much and he isn’t eating the wrong things. He just needs to get off his backside and MOVE more. It is the only solution. Anyone who spends all day on the computer and all evening on the couch would put on weight...
( he thinks I can fix everything!)

I oven roasted two trays of veg ( egg plant, Zucchini, Tomato, Onion, Red Capsicum) then arranged them in an oven proof dish with grated cheese. That will go into the oven later. We will have the Veg Bake with Chicken Breast.
It is all Low Carb cooking.

I can’t handle Soup for tea more than two nights in a row.
I can’t handle the same foods, generally, two nights in a row! So it is not the soup’s fault. ( I think it stems from being served the meal I didn’t eat, night after night, by foster parents. They ate new food each night, but I was being punished. The problem for me was not the food, but that it was often over-salted for a youngster....or that they had laced it with Nutmeg...a taste I hated as a child. I still hate salty food, and I still hate Nutmeg...and I still hate Garlic!). They couldn’t see the wood for the trees - they had a youngster who would eat every veg put in front of her ( apart from broad beans) yet they continued to lace food with salt, nutmeg and garlic.
( :cool4: they even put salt on my Weetbix every morning! And I couldn’t swallow them!)
One more taste I cannot stand is Marzipan. ( tastes like rat poison to me). Any sweet treat as a child seemed to contain Marzipan, and it may well have formed my aversion to anything sweet. ( can’t trust anyone!)

I was always very wary, giving my toddler new foods. If he spat it out or didn’t like it, I respected that. ( kids know what they like). But he LOVED Garlic and Salami etc as a little child. He loved every veg too. He was a delight to feed.
I often look at him and say “ I don’t know where you got your taste buds boy, but it is not from ME!” :laugh5:

Had a pork pie for breakfast. Made my normal tea, steak pudding and veggies but only ate half of it. Beauty of the Systema kitchen ware is the ease with which I put the lid back on it, popped it into the fridge and it will be this morning's breakfast. My body was letting me know that I had eaten too much the day before. All systems normal this morning.
Interesting to reflect that my 15 hour fast every night is dead in line with MDs CLANGERS. Nice!

Depends what hours you keep and when you eat your meals I suppose. I keep reasonably conventional hours and have three meals a day. Light breakfast, light lunch and main meal at tea time. Nothing then apart from an evening brew until the following morning which by my reckoning is about 14 or 15 hours. Seems pretty normal to me.
