It was to say that it's just a fancy French way of presenting Cheese & Onion Pie. We have to try though to keep up with Maz! Although she wouldn't appreciate the lovely garlic.

Like I said to Maz, I'm not one for featuring everything consumed on a daily basis. I will admit to a shortbread biscuit with a brew this afternoon though.

I had sausage and Mutton with veggies for breakfast. Tea was a nice fried battered fish with mushy peas when we got back from Colne.

Sausage and egg for breakfast and sausage, mutton and the last of the veggies for tea.

I have decided not to post on this topic any more, which is a shame, as there are so many topics that are so localised to your area, I can not comment on them (everything from Flatley driver to Politics, Medical matters etc.). It terribly disappointing. About the only topics I can comment on now are “Pets” ( and I don’t have any pets, I can only admire others pets)...or “what did you do today”. I wish you guys knew how devastating it is when you give negative comments or simply ignore others.
I had thought a food topic may have been simple enough for us all to communicate. We all eat!

I shall stop being so precious now and search to see if there is any other topic I CAN contribute to...one that is not local or politically motivated. Cathy and I were born in Barnoldswick. But for fate, we may still live there and may have married locally.

Don't give up Marilyn. I have such boring meals that its good to see what's going on in warmer climes. I've eaten cornflakes + weetabix for lunch every day for 30 years. Never get tired of them. Then there's fish and chips twice a week all boring stuff but that's what I like. Moh, God bless her sole, used to put some really mouthwatering meals on for us. Just because some may not find the subject too interesting there are a lot of people looking in who will enjoy the display.

At last count (it's on the homepage) we have 2189 topics to choose from, you should find something there that you CAN comment on. If not like all other members, you could start your own topic. If there isn't a suitable category for a particular topic all you have to do is ask and I'll create one. All contributions are welcome.

On a more serious note I once again think that some sort of approval tick for a post would be a good idea. It's occasionally disappointing that no one seems to engage with one of ones posts.

As for posting and not having any response, join the club Maz. Have a look at specialised topics like Stanley's view and Steam engines, responses were very thin on the ground but page views told a different story. Responses are good but not the whole story. Remember also that many of the topics on Oneguy are seen as worthy of citing in reports and other posts on the web. Look at the page views for this topic, one of the highest on the site. [376,000 as of this morning...]
Yesterday I had eggs and a burger for breakfast and after cooking veggies, steak Pudding and veggies for tea. Good winter grub and we could see close to -10 today...

Breakfast. Sausage McMuffin and freshly brewed Brazilian Santos McCoffee, made a change.

It says Oven Bottom Muffin on the packet. It would be called a bread roll where I come from

Just for clarity it contains half a pound of sausage meat and some finely chopped onion, formed into a pattie, a free range fried egg and a slice of Creamy Lancashire cheese topped off with a dollop of ketchup. The coffee is a Brazilian Santos blend, made in the Senseo machine with frothed hot milk and topped with a sprinkle of cocoa powder. I reckon it would give Ronald McDonald a run for his money.

Didn't feel cold when I went for a walk yesterday afternoon, only my face! Breakfast was working well!
