I have to admit I'm not very motivated at the moment. Post natal depression I think after declaring the engines finished.

Trying to clear some dust and get ready for a visitor arriving tomorrow. Hope she doesn't mind staying in building site conditions. Things are progressing though, the insulation is in and the plasterboarding is nearly done except for the window embrasures. Col's defences against driving rain against the west wall passed the test of the bad weather over the last week.
Col & Alfie have just set off to walk up Weets, leaving me to my cleaning. I wish I had gone with them now.

Jack and I go to see our favourite vet today, Mrs Marsh. He's due for his annual booster jabs.... I had mine a week last Saturday, the annual flu jab. I had a bit of a reaction to the flu jab this year, must be a stronger dose? Jack will be OK......

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
Lovely, sunny day....so threw the bathers on and dragged some of our outdoor wooden furniture onto the lawn where I gave it a lovely coat of furniture oil. Back yard very private thank heavens!
Also fertilised the fruit trees, weeded and trimmed the back garden beds.
Am slightly pink but didn't get sun burn. Hopefully my bones will love the Vitamin D.

What exciting lives you lot lead! The peak of my activities today will be keeping warm, looking after my mate and perhaps writing another article for the BET.

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
I notice the BBC have started saying 'grass frost' instead of 'ground frost'. Are they the same thing? Perhaps it means only in rural areas? LIfe's a puzzle isn't it?

It's dry at the moment in our neck of the woods in Brittany. Sun did try but it's slunk back behind the clouds. Dave gone fishing at the zoo and I have done some more bagging and packing ready for returning to the UK. Eileen

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
Grass frost certainly describes it better. Ground frost much more severe.
Could be in the shed for a while today but certainly reading this afternoon. Beevor has arrived!

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
I'm working this morning but I think I'll be able to manage a chapter or two this afternoon. His style is so good particularly his ability to be describing major climatic episodes then in the same paragraph reflect it through the eyes of a particular individual who experienced the event at first hand. Brilliant. Nolic

Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
What struck me as I looked at the illustrations (I always look at the pictures first!) was the three pictures of the lady taken over three years showing the effects of starvation.
Later... I decided against the shed and for the cleaning of the drifts of dog hairs in the corner of the treads. This had been noted by daughter Susan so I thought I had better show willing. I feel very smug now that I have done it!

Doing something outside today don't know what but as the weather is so nice make the most of it. Eileen
Re: Today I shall be Mainly...
Spent five hours at son's house while a man fitted a wardrobe for him ( son working).
I decided I could either die of boredom or get on with a few jobs. Kitchen now a few shades cleaner, as are some of his doors which I gave a wipe over. Also gave the utility room a once over. Didn't feel at all tempted to put the washing through...it may have been left there as a subtle hint. Or maybe he always keeps his clothes hamper in front of the machine?
Wonder if he will notice I polished his kitchen taps and kettle...
( and I left a packet of Tim Tams in the fridge)
