I'm just about to have mine now Mick. I have dried peas soaking in hot water and a ham hock boiling in the slow cooker with spices, onions and garlic. That's lined up for tomorrow....

One pot tea tonight, chicken, chorizo, peppers, celery, carrots, onions, garlic, can of tomatoes, chilli flakes, salt, pepper and a splash of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. 90 minutes in a casserole dish. It's smelling good after 60 minutes, best open a bottle of wine :biggrin2:

I know a latte is predominantly breakfast coffee but we drink it anytime. A small cognac for me and a Cointreau for Paulette to finish off tea.

Yesterday was Hot wings and veggies. Almost the end of them so I Cooked a ham hock slowly in onions and garlic after a quick cleaning boil so I could use the stock for the peas which have been soaking overnight and are now on a low light to finish softening. I made some stuffing too yesterday and it's finishing in the oven now....

It's 6F (-14C) with light snow falling here tonight. I've got the log fire ricking.
A cauldron of Potato, Leek and Bacon Soup is in process and will be welcome.

A link to my wife's, now defunct, blog shows the recipe.

Sounds wintry Mick. We are having a very mild winter up to now. I had pea and ham soup X two for breakfast and tea. It's good warming stuff and quite tasty but I wish I hadn't made as much.....

Pot it up and freeze it.

No Kev, I'd rather eat it.... It would sit in the freezer forever.

Not at our house, I made I a vat full early last week, shoved the excess into the freezer. Guess what we are having for our dinner? :extrawink:

That's how it works here Ian, I'd get bored with the same meal two or three days in a row :biggrin2:

I had ham and pea soup for breakfast but found a rib steak so I cooked that with mushrooms, tomatoes and onions and had it with some veggies for tea.

Rib steak and veggies for breakfast. I cooked hot chicken wings with mushrooms, onions and sun dried tomatoes and had that with veggies for tea. I put 2 packs of oxtail in the slow cooker and forgot it! It was thoroughly cooked this morning after 12 hours simmering.... :biggrin2:

Shellfish and chorizo in a spicy tomato based sauce. The sauce is the excess from a chicken and roasted Mediterranean veg dish. I'll add a drop of cream to lighten it up :good:
