I had the last of the chicken and veggies for breakfast. I cooked veggies and had some straight veggies for a light lunch. I fell off the wagon for tea as there was one of their very best expensive Pizzas on offer as it was running out of time. That was tea and very nice too!
I shall cook the rest of the veggies today after roasting my chicken this morning.

Burgers, baked beans and eggs for breakfast. Lunch was a nibble on the veggies I was cooking and tea was a Scotch Egg with fresh cooked cabbage.

I cooked a chicken on Saturday and we had the kids and Silsden grandchildren around for tea last night, which made short shrift of that. The carcass and all the other bits is now bubbling on the stove. I have potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic, sweetcorn, lentils and chia to hand so it will become a large vat of chicken soup with a few batches for the freezer. I have sausages for tea, not decided what to do with them yet.

Today's production, home made chicken soup, six portions cooling for the freezer plus one elsewhere for my dinner tomorrow. Scones are Raisin and Cranberry. Pastry lids in the background are Sally's waiting for the bottoms to blind bake.
I made the decision on the sausage they are in the oven since it's on and will be part of sausage and mash with some nice gravy.

A productive day Ian, good stuff
Lunch at Continentals Cafe, in Burnley. Boneless BBQ special, various bits of chicken and lamb flame cooked and served with a bit of salad and some harissa.
Pigs in blankets, sweet potato fries with a side salad and coleslaw for tea.

Chicken and veggies here....
I made a discovery this week, not sure how I missed it but swede is only 9% carbs and so is fine in my veggie cooking.

Almost the last of the chicken and veggies X three. I have enough left for breakfast and will probably fall off the carbs wagon by getting a Co-op pizza for tea!

Breakfast was the last of the current chicken and veggies. I cooked veggies later and lunch was veggies and sausage, tea was the same, so I managed to avoid the pizza! There will be more cooking today, the chicken and more veggies.

Chicken and veggies X three. I never tire of the taste of veggies, I think I'm very lucky to have been reared under rationing in the war, it means that we are grateful for what we get and don't need to be chasing new tastes. That makes life a lot easier!

Chicken and veggies X three. Coming nicely on song now.... Amazing how food improves after a rest at low temperature.... Perhaps that's the reason fast food needs more spices....

It will be home-made Pizza for us tonight. We already have tomatoes, peppers and peperami but need some mozzarella so a walk down to Aldi for that this afternoon. Sally will knock up a veggie version for herself. I will make the pizza dough in the bread maker as it does a really good job.
