I'm getting close to resuming activities in the shed.... No promises but it is pulling!
Otherwise looking after myself and Jack.
One note for myself is to contact my mates at FM Builders, I have a couple of jobs that need doing.... Good weather is the time to do these jobs especially roof inspections.

We arrived at Coventry before 10.00 am and thus the traffic was very light. We spent the whole day outside. Went for a walk with Eve in the afternoon to Memorial Park and back and the rest of the time we were relaxing in the garden. It was a lovely day indeed. In the evening we drove to Burton On Trent , which is where we are now. Today is Hardwick Hall then home

We had a week sharing a room with our son who was a very restless sleeper, he was either awake or snoring......Col ended up sleeping in the ensuite bath.

Back from our walk, which was dry despite fairly constant drizzle this morning. Carried the walking stick but didn't need it. My gait still isn't perfect - I tend to lapse into bad habits if I try to walk fast.
The town is packed with Easter tourists. We stay as far from the madding crowd as possible, in case they have brought all their coughs and colds with them from the city. ( we were in and out of the supermarket in a flash yesterday because it was packed with people). Those camping have had two beautiful sunny days thus far, and today's drizzle.
The golfers have been out in full force too ( the usual parade of hideous golf outfits).

Margaret is camping over Easter.... I agree about the golfers having strange sartorial tastes....

Later. I've talked to M and she and Mick are having lunch HERE. Would she have believed it possible 50 years ago in Barlick? Amazing, also the fact that I can talk to her in real time....

We went last Easter and for the first time ever managed the trip to the Farne Islands on a beautiful sunny morning. The dreaded sea fret followed us back and the afternoon on Holy Island was cool and damp. We never made Bamburgh because it was so thick. Being brought up in the NE these were the places we visited on a Sunday outing . My favourite places. I once wrote ‘ my heritage is in the NW. but my heart is in the NE’

I preferred the tour of Bamburgh Castle over Alnwick mainly because it was unfurnished and you got the feel of the old building in all the stonework. Stop off at Warkworth that is if you have enough time and can find somewhere to park. A nice little village with Warkworth Castle ruins worth a visit. Senior citizens rates of course.

Agreed Plaques, Warkworth is well worth a visit.

We visited last year. Lots of events on up at the castle. Raptor flying, food and historical merriment, (or how history should be taught). It was a nice day out with the grandchildren.

Sue, that reminded me of an occasion when I was being driven past the Disneyworld Hotel in Orange County California. My friend Susi turned to her son and said "You were conceived there" " Said "Aaaaaw, No Mom!"
Poor lad.......
Seeing if I can get my jigsaw back to life.....

Getting the quad bike and the mini harrows out to harrow the ponies winter paddock. I got them moved to fresh ground on Saturday. Then the lawn needs cutting.
