We face a shortage of many foods due to the fact that the government is leaving food pricing policy to the supermarkets. I keep banging on about this but nobody is listening.
Yesterday I had chicken and veggies X three and really enjoyed myself.

Sausage company Heck is reducing its range of meat-free products, citing lack of consumer appetite.
The Yorkshire-based firm is shelving production of most of its vegan range of sausages and burgers.
Co-founder Jamie Keeble said shoppers were "not there yet" when it came to buying its vegan products.
The company will now make just two plant-based varieties - chipolatas and burgers - down from its original range of 10.

I watched a programme which a few days ago was actually an advert for Heck vegan sausages, and I was quite impressed by them. The machinery involved to extrude and case them up was extraordinary. It involved putting up with Greg Wallace though. Vegan Sausages

I'm looking for some 'in between' snacks that would help me put weight ON without stressing any possible insulin problems. (not diabetic) any ideas.

Does high protein, low carb fit the bill Ken? Nuts, jerky or pork scratchings? Grill sausage and eat them cold from the fridge as snacks. A scotch egg is portable and fills the bill. Roast a batch of chicken wings in a spiced tomato sauce and have them as snacks, a bit messy but very nice.
Yesterday I had chicken and veggies X three.

Some good ideas in there Stanley. I don't eat big sit down meals and not a fan of puddings or cream cakes. I tend to think it was some antibiotics I took last year has upset my digestion. I'm not paranoid about weight loss but I do think its gone far enough to warrant some action.

I don't have big sit down meals either Ken. What I have found to be good for me is to have three small regular meals a day. If I have anything between meals it tends to be meat and high protein. I think little and often is the key to being as kind as possible to your digestion.
