I made home made pizza for tonight tea. I used Paul Hollywood's pizza dough recipe for thin bases. I had onion, vine tomato, bell pepper, chorizo, pepperoni and mozzarella. Sally had the veggie alternative without the sausage. Nice glass of red to go with it.
I usually make pizza dough in the bread maker but this was far superior and easy enough in the preparation:
250g strong white flour
5g salt
5g yeast
2 tblsp olive oil
About 150 ml cold water, add enough to make a smooth dough.
Knead on oiled surface for 5 - 10 minutes until smooth and elastic, set aside to prove until double in size.
Divide into 2 and ball and roll each piece into as thin as you can get it, (about 12" diameter)
Add toppings of choice and bake in hot oven until base is crisp.

I had something very similar, but I cheated and used an Aldi Pizza Margherita (£1.39) and enhanced it with sliced chorizo, black salty Greek olives, and extra Colliers Cheddar cheese. Half was plenty with some salad. Lovely.

If I cheat and have a pizza that's what I do David, enhance a store bought one. Hasn't happened lately under the new stricter regime. Chicken and veggies X three yesterday.....

Chicken and veggies X two for breakfast and dinner. Tea was a small rib eye steak cooked with onions and tomatoes for an expensive treat.Today I roast my chicken and cook a pound of steak mince to make a savoury roast that will go nicely with the veggies.....

Tonight's tea is marinating in the fridge. A couple of rump steaks, cut into strips, with onions, peppers, chillies, garlic, chopped tomatoes, oregano, smoked paprika, cumin, black pepper, salt and a slosh of rapeseed oil. It'll all go into a hot pan and served in wholemeal wraps with salad, sour cream and guacamole. Do like a steak fajita
