Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Chicken Biryani omelette for tea today. The Barlick Raj always put omelette on top of a Biryani so it should be good.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I love a Biryani but have always been puzzled by the need for an omelette on top. I like omelettes as well but it just doesn't seem right. Mind you I like toast but can't do with it if it's square, it's probably me.

I hope it turned out OK anyway Kev.
Tonight it will be beef chilli and baked potato with a bit of cheese for me.

It worked very well Ian, I've always liked eggs in a curry.PanBiker wrote: ↑24 Jun 2023, 09:14I love a Biryani but have always been puzzled by the need for an omelette on top. Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
The best byriani I ever had was at Zam Zam's in Singapore. That was more than 50 years ago though. I'm pleased to see it still exists and hasn't changed too much. As I thought - no sign of any omelette topping.
Here's the current menu $1 = 60p. Menu
You rarely see them here but Murtabak (Roti Canai) was also a favourite. Google it. . . .
PS. I'll save you the trouble - I'm on a roll - and hungry . . .

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
I had chicken and veggies for breakfast but straight vegetarian for the rest of the day, not even gravy! I have another day of this today in preparation for a blood test tomorrow.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
This was last night's effort - Heston Blumenthal would rather pretentiously have described it as -
A Pork Loin Steak, air fried with Garlic, Onion, and Ginger, on a bed of Basmati Rice with Kala Chana and French beans - dressed with Linghams Chilli Sauce, Kecip Manis, and topped with a blob of Mango Chutney.
I just called it Pork with rice and beans.
It was quite good.

It was - I was going to give it away, but think the Air Fryer has now been reprieved.

I use my small oven for everything....
Yesterday was another day of vegetarian food, not even gravy, I have been a good boy. I shall OD on chicken and chips later in the day!

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Veggies for breakfast but back on to chicken and veggies for dinner and tea. The fridge starts to look empty again as we get to veggie shopping again. Nice, just how I like it.

Re: WHAT DID WE HAVE FOR TEA?
Ham and eggs for breakfast. Two toasted currant teacakes with butter for dinner and fresh cooked leeks, cabbage, potatoes and carrots for tea after a bout of veggie cooking. I have my chicken ready for its 4 hour roast this morning.
