It was a very good buffet and the singer, Alex James Slater, was excellent.

Yesterday I had two helpings of the chicken and veggies and today I will have two more and that's the end of last week's batch. I shall have to cook both chicken and veggies today.......

I had two helpings of last week's chicken and veggies left over so I had one for breakfast and the other for tea. For dinner I had 6 oatcakes with Stilton Cheese on them.
I roasted my chicken and cooked all my veggies for the next week. (or however long they last me.) I can see I am going to have to stop my meat order for one week while I catch up!

I had two small portions of this week's chicken and veggies for breakfast and tea. Dinner was once more 6 small oatcakes with Stilton Cheese.
I might fry my sweet potato chips today..... Tension mounts!

Barlic Raj Balti, in Station Road, for a buffet tea, very good as usual. They've had a lot of votes for a 'Curry Life' award, they certainly got my vote

Three small helpings of this week's chicken and veggies.
The Project is going well, so well that I shall order my chicken as usual this week but freeze it and not have one next week. Eating less means using less! Same applies to my weekly veggie shop today, no need for it, It will be Monday before I need go to Town Square. Same applies to my weekly Co-op shop, all I need is my milk so I shall get that today. I'm not only getting smaller, I am saving money!

Three even smaller helpings of chicken and veggies but two of them, breakfast and tea, had the benefit of two fried eggs apiece. They needed eating while they were fresh....... (Waste not want not!)

I had to extend the remaining veggies with one of the tins of Napolina spicy mixed beans and some reduced price irresistible sausages from the Co-op. Breakfast and dinner were straight veggies, tea had two sausages added to it. I felt very full afterwards!
Today I shall cook veggies......

I was reminded of this thread when I read a restaurant review for a Malaysian restaurant in Manchester.
Leaving aside the plain boiled rice - Here's a picture of what looks more like the classic "chicken and veggies" à la Barlick, than anything from the East.
And the cost of this gastronmic triumph - Just £13.

That chicken looks so pale David! I like mine to be mahogany coloured and taste of spices and roasting, nearer BBQ flavour. 21 servings would cost £273. My shopping bill plus energy usage is about £80.
I had to extend my chicken and veggies with Spiced Beans for breakfast and dinner, then I cooked veggies and for tea I had vegetables and spiced canned mackerel. (Princes. I really like it and oily fish is so good for us.)
This morning I shall roast my chicken. I think we will survive for another week......

Chicken and veggies X three. The new batch always tastes different and this is no exception, really enjoyable and it will only get better.

Chicken and veggies X three plus an illicit salad butty from Barlic bites on the bench at the end of Albert Road while I was on traffic duty......

Chicken and veggies X two for Breakfast and tea. I had some Stilton dying slowly in the fridge so had that on six small oat biscuits for lunch. Waste not want not!

Chicken and veggies X three. Still small helpings and the temptation to snack after tea was bad but I managed to overcome it. Giving up eating too much is harder than stopping smoking!

We went to the local pub last night for food. The Ship Inn, had very good reviews and we needed to book a table. Came up to expectation, I had home-baked steak pie with chips and peas. Sally had fish chips and peas. Both accompanied with a couple of pints from the well stocked and very varied bar. Recommended if you find yourself in the parish.
