I watched that on Nadia's program and will have go at that myself when we have been to the butchers. I will invite our Jack up for tea as he likes a bit of lamb as well
I am going to make Nadya's art masala mix to try in my curries, the recipe is on the BBC website.

Kev, you remind me how much I like the clean taste of Lamb..... I fancy a couple of shanks.
Yesterday I had spam eggs and beans for breakfast, missed dinner altogether as I wasn't hungry and had fried Spam and veggies for tea.

Odd - almost spooky - I had lamb for tea last night for the first time for a long time (months).
I cooked a half leg in the slow cooker, and it's delicious. It's been in the frezzer since last Christmas. Don't forget Tesco do some ha;f price offers on lamb every Christmas. A year in the freezer is no problem. There's plenty for more meals - I will probably freeze some of it later in the week

The Lamb Keema pie turned out OK and went down well with rainbow salad. I have a portion left for tonight's tea.

Excellent, I made quite a big one and got 3 meals for the two of us out of it.

Mine was only half the size as my butcher only had 250g of lamb mince left when we called. I scaled all the other ingredients accordingly.

I had chicken and veggies thrice and triggered by David raiding his freezer I took out a ham shank and popped it in the slow cooker. I have just started the day by de-boning and de-fatting it and cutting into bite sized chunks. It is now in with the veggies and I feel virtuous (and have very clean hands....)

Ham, chicken and veggies X three for breakfast dinner and tea.
It's funny how you forget how useful some foods are and have to remind yourself again. At 85p a 907g pack, frozen peas are an excellent cheap food and what's more I love them. So why did I have to remind myself to reinstate them in my diet?

Yes - agreed. I noticed later that there was no mention of frozen veg on my recent list. Must mention that there are always peas and green beans in my freezer. Both useful and tremendous good value. Almost a 'stock cupboard ' item.
