Today's forgotten corner is very personal. This is a picture of a room in a house about to be demolished, 6 Napier Road, Stockport. The significance is that I took this picture in 1988, 35 years after I lived there and nothing had changed. I went through every room in the house and it was a weird feeling stepping back all those years.... My bedroom in the attic was just as I had left it apart from being empty, even the decorations were the same. Weird!

The original course of the canal at Greenberfield ran under the bridge in the background and down this channel. The original two riser locks were criticised by John Rennie in 1816 because they wasted water so they were replaced by the present course and locks.

Butts chimney in 1978 after it had been shortened by taking the brick extension off it. Billycock had to extend it because of the poor quality of the coal from the Ingleton collieries which he had bought.

Not strictly Barlick but definitely a forgotten corner of local politics. Len Dole speaking at the Nelson Labour Party's gala in 1978. It was like a Sunday school meeting and was a lovely occasion.

The Crossley gas engine that drove Berry's sawmill at Sough. At one time it ran of producer gas made from the shavings and sawdust but in later years ran exclusively on town's gas.
