I took a pound of ordinary mince, two onions, a full root of garlic, four tomatoes and a tin of marrowfat processed peas and mad a small panful of savoury mince that simmered very gently for an hour. Self praise is no recommendation I know but it is superb and I feel would give your Wagyu beef a run for its money.
I put a small amount on top[ of my already served pots for dinner and tea and have put the rest in with the rest of my cooking in the fridge. So take it as read that my meals for the rest of the week will be chicken and veggies with the added benefit of savoury mince......

Breakfast was the last portion of last weeks cookathon. I was cooking all day and dinner was a few sprouts fresh cooked, tea was a chicken wing and fresh cooked veggies.

Chicken and veggies X three. Dinner and tea were enhanced with a small amount of the savoury mince stuffing I cooked during the day.....
My transgression was two small game pies that Susan and Mick gave me for a treat. One at dinner time and one after tea as a bonus..... From a butcher in Earby and very good!

Not sure why but I got the idea in my head yesterday that I didn't fancy any dinner. So I missed it on the grounds that a missed meal is good for me, I am not on the verge of starvation! So, yesterday was chicken and veggies X two for breakfast and tea. (And no change to the helping size at tea-time.)

I had a light dinner today.... Six small oat crackers with Boursin cheese. (I had been totally immersed in trying to get my computer to do something, and failing miserably!) Breakfast and tea were chicken and veggies as usual.

We are more or less the same today Kev. Post Christmas family meet, Carla Isla and Finlay will be over for tea, Ruby is already here and our Jack will be attending also. Not sure about his girlfriend Lucy yet.
That video reminds me of another variant on the BLT that I came across in New York. I was on Second Avenue one morning foraging for breakfast, it was very early. I went in a deli and asked for a BLT on a bagel and the man looked at me and said "You do realise this is a Jewish Deli and is Kosher don't you?" I had completely forgotten and apologised but he said "It's OK. I am just making mine, there's no one about so I'll do one for you as well". So that's how I managed to get BLT on a bagel....
As for food yesterday, chicken and veggies X three as usual. It's nicely on song now and at its best.

Lunch was scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, smoked bacon and a hash brown, went down nicely.
Going to run the gauntlet at Lidl for some salad bits to accompany cooked meats and cheese that are lurking in the fridge.
Chicken and veggies is going well. I shall be veggie shopping at the Co-op today because Susan is coming to visit this morning. Might as well use a Sherpa when I have one! (I have the chicken defrosting in the fridge getting set up for a cook in.....)

It will be a Jacobs Join curry job for us at our Carla's to see the New Year in with the family and Silsden and district friends. Sally has made a chick pea curry for our offering. Before that we will be calling at a 30th birthday bash for Amy who is Sally's cousin Gail's daughter at Carleton WMC on our way to Silsden, probably go over the tops as Heslaker Lane was still shut yesterday and we don't know the status of the Ramper at the other side of the village. Ruby and Isla will be with us and we will leave Isla at home when we return tomorrow. Ruby goes home on Tuesday
