Could it be a water reservoir from a steam floor cleaner or carpet shampooer?

The back part looks like it could store condiments in the fridge, but the front parts don't fit with that suggestion.

You've got me beat if the other answers are wrong. Only other thing that occurs to me is a lint trap from a clothes dryer.

Cathy has got closest so far with `store condiments in the fridge' but storage isn't its primary function. Here's a different view that should help...

I'm with China, but I would probably use it to place something in it to defrost.

Maybe Tize has a fancy fridge where chilled water and ice-cubes are accessed thru the door.... just saying

No correct answer yet. That surprised me because I thought this was going to be a quickie and someone would soon say `I've got one exactly the same, it's a .....'. Obviously it's not as common as I thought. You've gone too far down the fridge route. It's main use is not the fridge and not for storage. I said earlier that Cathy had got closest by writing `store condiments in the fridge' but that was because she'd moved the discussion onto food. Forget fridge and storage. Another clue. It's in two parts - the other part is a special lid.

Oh well, worth a try.
Is it a Food Processor Attachment or a Food Processor Attachments Storage Container?
Just for good measure I'll add that it could collect or catch food that has been processed.

Oooh, isn't this fun, what a great mystery object! Still no correct answer, although Cathy is closing in with her `collect or catch food that has been processed'. You're all trying to be a bit too clever, it's quite a simple gadget really and you've probably all got one but it doesn't look like this one. Cathy would be even closer if I tell her that it does the processing as well as the catching.
