Latest gym session yesterday has made itself known, exercises ramping up a bit and my triceps and hamstrings know it! Step ups, quad lifts and sled pushing yesterday was half the regime, three times ten reps of all, same for the others, bench pressed weights, wood chopper, bike, medicine ball and work on the mat. Got a proper sweat on.

Insurance, maintain mobility, good idea in my book. Don't want to get old and incapable of walking further than a couple of hundred yards.

My one word post was perhaps a bit hasty - what it included was "an admirable aim -but perhaps a bit rigorous to achieve it".

As is the saying, no gain without pain. Tolerable though and once the burn wears off we are both feeling better for it. Trick is to get fit and supple enough so the recovery from each session is shorter. Learnt that with my neuro physio regime learning to walk again. The more you do it the easier it gets. My left leg still dominates the right because of the drop foot I inherited in my right, calves don't match, step ups impacted my right a lot more as I would expect. I still cant balance on my right leg alone as my toes don't work at that side, (failure to rewire fresh neurons). I peak at around 95 bpm in the gym which is about right with a bit to spare for my resting rate of 59bpm. Onward and upward 9am Friday.
