When I was in the Co-op yesterday surveying their bare shelves I noticed a pack of chunky fish fingers that had reached their sell by date so I got them. I made fish, chips and peas with them and substituted that for meat and veggies for dinner and tea. Back into my routine today!

Routine - what's that?
I fixed the fault on my mini (Gumtree) oven which had conked out. A session of intensive fault finding revealed that the mains plug had come loose in its socket. It lives on a mobile trolley with a short mains lead.
I've never tried any serious cooking in it - just pizzas etc - so had a go.
Here's the result. A bit over done but delicious.

We're going for the buffet at the Barlick Raj, it's been a week since my last curry and I'm going cold turkey

I add Curry powder from Gulam's to almost everything I cook. I'm convinced it has medicinal properties!
Yesterday I had meat and veggies (with curry) X three.

Two helpings of hot meat and veggies and one oatcake cheese and onion snack at dinnertime. I am getting last weeks cooking into a corner and am starting to think about veggie shopping in Town Square....

I had Meat and veggies X three and realised I could leave veggie shopping until today so all I got was essential veggies from the Co-op for my chicken roasting. Good job we have Gulam in the Town Square, the Co-op is a desert at the moment.

Last week's cooking is getting into a corner and yesterday I had three helpings of hot meat and veggies. I have one helping left for breakfast this morning. It is veggie cooking today!

Yesterday I had the last of last week's cooking for breakfast, I cooked veggies and missed dinner completely. Tea was chicken and freshly cooked veggies.

I had chicken and veggies for breakfast but later in the day I tripped over tinned haggis in the Co-op and had to try it.... So dinner and tea was haggis neaps and veggies.

Haggis, neaps and veggies for breakfast, oatcakes, tomato and cheese for dinner and chicken and veggies for tea....
For information, the haggis is £1.85 for an A4 tin which with veggies does three meals. Do the sums yourselves, so much cheaper than takeaways or ready meals.

I had chicken and veggies X three for breakfast, dinner and tea. I cooked savoury cabbage and onion with spices and had some with dinner and tea. Definitely worth the effort!

That looks right up my street David!
I had chicken and Veggies for breakfast, oat cake, tomato and cheese nibbles for dinner and then Veggies for tea with some of my pork belly and orange with it, it was ready by then after cooking all day.

The pork belly with orange is fully finished and the fat harvested off it so meat and veggies X three today and it is superb.
I might fry sweet potato chips for an extender today.....

Three hot meals of meat and veggies..... I never fail to wonder at the way my cooking improves as the week passes. The stay in the fridge is just as much part of the cooking process as the heat.
