Advice to us from a local estate agent...if you get an offer from a couple, before you accept always check that both have viewed the property, otherwise you might find the offer falls through.

My partner selects the paint colours, the wall paper pattern, the carpets, and the curtains. For my part I get to live with them.

This is prompted by my washing crisis...
Avid readers of OGFB will appreciate that (in my eye) there's a fair share of household work between Alison and me.
Alison does the washing, I do (most) of the cooking.
I clean up cat sick and hairballs ("They're YOUR cats"!), Alison does human vomit.
Both of us wait hand and foot upon our feline masters and mistresses...
I fail miserably on the DIY, gardening (and everything else) front.
Having mentioned my comments on OGFB to the better half, I'm expecting a new member (Alison the Avenger) joining OGFB and am appealing to the admins to keep her out! Please?
