£441.50

Post by Sue »

Well it's all over for me, but not too late for you to add to my total. I have raised over £400 in total ( with a little help from a friend who added half of her Dry January money about £90, the rest of hers went to the local Hospice. Well done Barbara). I hope to keep collecting money for some time yet, so if you haven't donated yet there is still time. There have been times this last couple of weeks when I needed a drink but cancer research needs OUR money, so I kept going. By paying through Just giving, I have raised nearly an extra £100 through Gift Aid, so by sponsoring me online , and if you are a tax payer, your donation counts twice. A big thankyou to everyone.

I'm fundraising on JustGiving for Cancer Research UK, Please sponsor me.
Help me raise money for this great cause by donating to my fundraising page.

The current total, excluding Gift Aid is £441.50, so with Gift aid this is nearly £550

Yes, well done Sue. Sally and myself are contemplating a coast to coast bike ride which in the early stages of planning and is being organised for our local Bosom Friends cancer support group that we are involved with. Waiting to find out more, will start topic in the charity thread when I find out. Mooted for August Bank Holiday weekend, 170 miles or thereabouts. Will need to put some miles in first though.

Thank you Sue and well done again for your effort.

Early days and a bit of a double edge sword opportunity. Our daughter is getting married in December and we have both vowed to shed a few pounds before the event. A few hundred miles on the bikes interspersed with fell walking as training between now and August should help I think.

Well done Sue - our granddaughter did it, she felt at times she was going senile, she kept forgetting things such as making a chilli in the morning for tea then wondering all day at work what to make for tea, putting an agg on to boil and forgetting to light the gas! (she's only 36!!
It said in the Mail this week it can be bad for you giving up drink.
Say only a little but say it well.

I expected to lose loads of weight , but lost nothing. Just shows I don't drink that much. My problem was the boring soft drinks with a meal, so sweet!

Yet another £10 this afternoon.
