The day went well!
The Mayor of Pendle, Smith Benson, who has a deep interest in WW1 opened proceedings, followed by Peter Thompson who gave us an extremely interesting talk (thanks again Thomo) and finally Stephanie introduced us to her wonderful new book.
We sold an amazing 40 books at the event. I have a signed copy for you Stanley, but it may be next week before I have time to get it to you.

No rush Wendy. Have a look in your button box and see if you have any spare shirt buttons.....

I have a large collection of shirt buttons, how did you guess. Col wears shirts until they fall to pieces, and I always save the buttons before cutting the remains up for rags.
