Does anyone have any information regarding pitches used by Barlick's football teams before World War 1? I have information regarding the old Barnoldswick United and Barnoldswick Central clubs from this era but no details as to where their grounds were. Many thanks in anticipation :)

I didn't think I would be able to help with this but I have just found a report in a Burnley newspaper from 1913 on a match between Barnoldswick United and Rossendale mentioning Eastwood Bottoms as the ground.

Eastwood Bottoms is where the new Scotherns Close estate is and prior to that was allotments. There was also Long Ing Farm where the Silentnight Car Park is now.

The report does mention that the home team chose to play uphill after winning the toss.
