Wel - I've just watched it twice, and enjoyed it more than I can say. Like visiting a lot of familiar places. I see that like HItchcock, Gus sneaks himself in occasionally.

Look at the street scene at 1.00 mins and tell me Lowry wasn't a genius.

I got to 8.33 and announced to the audience present ( no one ) - that's Stanley's farm and Garra Pickles with the dog! :laugh5:

I met Gus by chance when I went on pilgrimage in 2013, and the photos he took that day are still on his Flickr account. Mr and Mrs Panbiker are there too.

I've emailed Gus, thanked him, and a bit pretentiously told him It's his ' masterpiece '. Speak as you find. . . .

Well! That blew 20 minutes away. A lot of old friends there in those images and a few I haven't seen before.
Wonderful, thanks for posting that David......

20 minutes took me almost 30 to get through it. Remembered a lot of forgotten faces. Thankfully for the viewers mine wasn't among them. Excellent bit of nostalgia. Spotted HItchcock several times.
