Smart TV

I have a question, Bob and I bought a Smart TV in the Christmas sales a few years ago and we have never used it to its maximum. Does anyone on the site have one and use it connected so that they can view whats on their laptops through the TV. I googled it and found I probably need an app . When I looked for one they seem very expensive. As we won’t use it often I am looking for a good cheap or free one and some guidance on what to do

I've just managed to do it for the first time ever! I have Windows 11 but there must be a similar process for other operating systems.
Switch on both devices, make sure they are connected to your WiFi.
On your laptop go to 'display settings' then 'Multiple displays' then 'connect to a wireless display' and it will find your TV. Click on it to mirror your laptop..
Good luck!

Done it, brilliant. Just watched Stanley’s video on one guy, through iPad, on tv. Also watched some of our hol videos on tv from iPhone. I’m feeling very smug.

Gloria I have just done it on my ipad . I went into Control centre from settings, select customise control centre. Swipe down from top right hand corner towards left hand corner and you get a screen with Mirroring on. I found it on my iphone first. Its really easy . Must try it on my lap top too
