Chicken and veggies X three. I shall cook some savoury mince today just for fun..... (Couldn't do it next week as it can cause a creatinine spike in the blood test I am down for on Feb 10th and that can be mistaken for a bad sign for kidney health.)

Chicken and veggies for breakfast Dinner was the same but with a spoonful of the mince I was cooking, tea was straight chicken and veggies again.

Barlick Raj with friends for tea tonight. This morning's coffee was accompanied by a white chocolate mouse, far too sweet but there was only one :biggrin2:

We went last night Kev, a voucher birthday present for my last birthday from a couple of our trustees. Excellent as usual and I have relayed that in my review. Very busy last night, enjoy!

I had chicken and veggies for breakfast and was going to have the same for dinner and tea but on a trip to the Co-op for some garlic I saw a tray of seven Spicy battered chicken drumsticks that were cheap as they had reached their sell by date and bought them. Best not to let them hang about so I fired up the oven and cooked them for dinner. Nice change and I enjoyed them. Then chicken and veggies for tea.

I cheated for breakfast yesterday. When I went to the Co-op the day before I got two panini rolls for 73p, they had reached their sell by date. I had them for breakfast slit into pockets and filled with savoury mince and veggies. Very tasty but of course illegal! Normal chicken and veggies for dinner and tea.....

I made a trifle, sugar free jelly, sponge fingers (left over from the tiramisu), sugar free custard, whipped cream and grated (and lumps) of 85% cocoa solids chocolate. It's almost healthy :biggrin2:

I didn't know you could get faggots in this neck of the woods Kev. I have the dried peas to make the pease pudding.....
I had chicken and veggies X two. I missed at dinnertime because I had an oven bottom cake with the breakfast pot and so never got hungry again in time.

I had meat and veggies X three for breakfast dinner and tea. I roasted my chicken in the morning, shopped for veggies at Aldi with Ian in the afternoon and will cook veggies this morning after I have had my sleep.

Breakfast was almost the last of last weeks cooking of chicken and veggies. I missed dinner apart from nibbling on veggies as I cooked them. I had one serving left from last week and that was my tea. Today I shall start on a new batch.

I found some half price hot and spicy chicken breasts in batter in the Co-op and had them for dinner. Disappointing! Breakfast and tea was chicken and veggies.

After a long time watching various Youtube cooks, I've just bought one of these Russell Hobbs mini oven

Second hand (of course) from a local on Gumtree for £30. Said to be little used, and that's probably true. I found the controls difficult to read so printed out the 20 page handbook. I then ignored it, and realised that - in practice - the top dial controls temperature, and the middle dial is for time. The bottom dial is not needed and best ignored. Just use common sense and experiment. I've drawn a diagram to show the rough values of the position of the dials. The rest is just marketing.

I just used it for the first time - a basic margherita pizza from the Aldi chilled cabinet (£1.39) with extra toppings (black olives a la Grecque, onion, more cheese, and dried sage), from the store cupboard. Cooked lovely in just ten minutes at a (guessed) 200 degrees.

Here's a tip - it makes no noise, but don't try touching the heating element lightly to see if it works - it does - and they get very hot almost instantly! No harm done luckily

This one is really a bit too small, and the one I really wanted is the Hysapientia which looks like the Rolls Royce of the game. The Russell Hobbs though, will do for a while and home made lasagne will be back of the menu.
