"I also watch a lot of the Lindy Hop, Shag and Balboa dancing competition videos. Nils and Bianca with a demo below."
Ian, I suspect that the fact I am completely baffled by this subject says something about me and my taste.....
David, dead right, about time we weaned ourselves off the whole addictive fix, Monarchy, the Honours System and Tradition. How much longer can we put up with a combative Parliamentary layout and men in tights wearing swords. It is totally ridiculous.
(I often think it reached peak ridiculousness when Snowdon invented the ceremony of installing Charles as Prince of Wales. Most 'tradition' comes from the same well spring, spin and PR to promote a rotten system.)

I doubted that at the time but now think you are right. It's now looking that skiving Parliament was an overtly political gesture.

Usual trigger warning for Mailophobes - but they do have the best range of photographs. Elizabeth Line

PS She had a good afternoon too - her first two year old winner 'Garner' at Nottingham. Looks useful.

I can imagine some of the people in the place trying to use her for their own purposes are spitting feathers. I suspect that there are certain duties she has refused and they have had to build a narrative that explains this behaviour and the obvious one was mobility. They forgot the sedan chair and its modern equivalents. If she wants to do it she will, otherwise forget it. The royal managers are going to have to live with it.

Check out some of the other dance videos on YouTube Cathy. Nils and Bianca have been World Champions.

I wish to register a complaint! I went to All4 catch up to look at yesterday's F1 GP and found myself in some sort of a sub Top Gear situation with Tom Cruise. Whatever it was it was terrible and I left to spend time on my Scandi-noir. What a load of crap and totally superfluous....

Try The Witch Hunts with Lucy Worsley on BBC2 - part one of four.

She's in Scotland and it's very interesting. Surely Pendle will get in later. . . .

Apparently there's an important football match on tonight, and you can watch it live, and free of charge, and legitimately on Youtube

How nice for the fans...... :biggrin2: I watched the end of the Rugby League, Wigan getting a last minute try to save their bacon. As I went to bed at 20:00 I heard that the match in Paris had a delayed start.....

I watched Monaco GP quali on catch-up and thankfully they did not do a fantasy land overture.
Mercedes are improving and George Russell is proving to be a good choice by the management. I still can't bring myself to warm to Verstappen, sorry!

Just finished watching a 6 part dramatisation about the rise and fall of the Sex Pistols. It's based on Steve Jones' autobiography and was a fascinating story.
It's called Pistol and is on Disney+

if this soccer match on Ch 4 was a horse race - there'd be a Stewards, and hefty penalties levied under the 'non triers' rules.

There was another one last night. Lost 0 - 4 to Hungary. I know little of the game except that you are more likely to score goals if you pass the ball forwards to the opponent's goal area, rather than back to your own.

The only positive for me was the fact that Kieran (of that ilk) had absolutely nothing to do with the whole affair.

Just had my 'card marked' that there is a new channel, and the Final of the Greyhound Derby is on live and free of charge, tomorrow night.

They will do snooker and other time wasting activities as well. sportystufftv

The clips of M Thatcher frothing about prote4st not being the British Way are valuable. They remind me of just how bad she was!

Night shift reporting -

I'm still up - felt obliged to watch Sir Paul. We're the same age, and it feels like bed time to me. He's doing well.

As everyone is saying, his voice isn't what it was - well of course it isn't, but he's got more hair than me (I'm assuming it's his own) and that's saying something. I'm actually quite enjoying his performance, but would I pay £280 to stand up in a field at this time of night - 'fraid not. I can actually make out some of the lyrics - that's unusual.

Hey Jude is very good - steady - this is way out of character.

Night night. . . .

PS looking at the crowd close up camera, and the BBC are doing that - shows Sir Lenworth was right,

Not TV but radio. I heard that Henry Kissinger was being interviewed by James Naughty on the occasion of his 100th birthday and it was being broadcast at 20:00 last night. So I was able to avoid the experience!
Some of us haven't forgotten him and Nixon sitting in the White House making the decision to run 'Side Show'. the illegal bombing of Cambodia 'back into the Stone Age'. (Read the book, Side Show by William Shawcross.)
