Not easy I know (and chosen partially because Google won't help you....) Anyone who has been there will recognise it and it's reasonably local.....

It's a model village. I don't know where. I'll guess it could be Blackpool?

I saw it as a model village at first but changed my mind. A complete guess would be somewhere in Monmouthshire, on the Welsh border.

Sorry Wendy, one of the few occasions when I have to disagree. The reason I think it's a model village is the lack of depth of field in the image, usually a sign of very close range photography.

Wendy is in the right area (but further north) and it is a real town, not a model. As well as where is it, I will add an additional question, what type of lens will give the effect in the image?

I'll go for Mold (because it's easier to spell..!) and i'll say the photo was taken with a telephoto lens with a very wide aperture.

No one has it yet. I'll narrow it down a bit more, it has a castle.

Postman Pete, no. You're getting warm with the wide aperture, it is to do with the focal plane.

Definitely Conway (Conwy) A547 taken from a vantage point on the town walls above this gate into the town.
