(This payment ceased on his resignation and no new apportionment
The Clerks wages are per annum five pounds paid by the Churchwardens
By custom and he recieves for a marriage by licence two shillings and
sixpence and after banns one shilling, for a churching sixpence and for a
funeral sixpence.
The Sexton wages which he receives by custom is one shilling for every
burial (1-9d by 1870 S.H.I.) (This was 9d in 1870 and was added to
Sexton 1-9d or 2-6d per grave. S.H.I)
The testimony of the truth of the above mentioned particulars We the
Minister Churchwardens and Principal Inhabitants have set our hands
the day and year above written

were voted in 1870 to the John Hartley
