1835
William Brennand recorded as farmer at Gutteridge Farm, Bracewell in an electoral roll.

1851
Census records William Brennand, 60, farmer of 38 acres at Gutteridge Farm, Bracewell.

1889.
Calf Hall Shed Company minute books 31st July 1889. Richard Brennand asked to build a wall at the top end of Calf Hall Shed at 5/- per rood, 5 ft high and Scotch Topped.[sic] and that he prepare the ground by day work.

1896
Barrett directory reports Richard Brennand as ‘agent for British Workman’, Granville Terrace, Barnoldswick. [‘the British Workman Past and Present’ was a biography of William Blades, an agricultural labourer, written by Rev. M C F Morris and published in 1928.]

Barrett directory records Richard Brennand as ‘meter inspector’ of 7 Park Road Barnoldswick.

1924
In 1989 I got word that the interior of the Albert Road building was being stripped prior to demolition. The shop was still trading but about to move to the old station site. I blagged my way in and did some pictures, one of them was of a commemorative plaque in the offices which recorded the opening of the completed building on Saturday April 12th 1924. It noted that the first phase was opened in 1907. The president of the society was Thomas Uttley, vice president Walter Farrar, committee members William Baxter, Daniel Brennand, Arthur Eastwood, John Fielden, George Hartley, Eli Holt, William Parker, Albert Smith, C. Stockdale and James Turner. The original architect was G Bowker of Colne and at completion A Hartley of Skipton.

LTP. 78/AA/03. Page 2. Jim pollard talked about hand twisting at Bancroft. There were 4 hand twisters, Jim, Dan Brennand, Walter Plumley and Bob Walker. They had a labourer called Bobby Calvert. Bill Whiteoak and Russell Wilkinson ran the Barber Coleman knotting machines and the backman was called Eccleston. Wilkinson was on the Co-op committee and so he worked no overtime on Wednesday nights which was when the meeting was held.
