Bella Cryer mentioned as weaver and wife of Bob Cryer who was also a weaver at Long Ing. See LTP; 78/AB/3. In same tape transcript Billy Brooks talks about Kit (Christopher) Cryer working at Coates Mill with him.
LTP; 79/AD/12, page 4. Horace talks about William Cryer, a farmer at Carleton who built the clock in Carleton church which has a freewheel on the compensating mechanism recognised by Johnny Pickles as a very early use of this mechanism.
