Rochdale Town Hall
Rochdale Town Hall opened in 1871 and was built in the Victorian Gothic style by architect William Henry Crossland. It is a fine example of a Victorian municipal building. The clock tower, a local landmark, stands at 190 feet high and opened in 1888 and can be seen for miles around. The tower is locally called "Little Big Ben" and the stained-glass windows in the town hall are outstandingly beautiful, in fact, the whole building is stunning with its many carved, gilded lions and other features. The interior is just as nice.
