Black Pits Chimney
Black Pits Chimney at Norden near Rochdale. Only the very tall chimney survives of the Black Pits cotton spinning mill beside the Naden brook - which in the 19th century was a hive of industry with both cotton, dye and bleach works in this area which was just a little part of the industrial revolution in the north west of England.
