John Thompson (aka Amos) from Kelbrook died last week.
He was a lovely fella and I'm glad to have worked with him during my apprenticeship at ELE.

We watched this Steve Coogan dramatisation of the famous interview between Brian Walden and Margaret Thatcher in 1989.
After watching the 2 part program we followed up by watching the actual 1989 interview.

Yup. The pin is fitted into a precision reamed hole.
The ball can then be indicated true to the spindle center line even when at an angle.
I have one in me old toolbox somewhere...
