Basking in the knowledge I have shaved my head and cleared the front garden. I shall be in the shed working quietly towards my outrigger bearing. Good work done yesterday and space problems solved. I have the top section ready for fitting, today is the base!

After shopping I shall be progressing slowly in the shed.

Today we will do a bit of shopping, sow some lawn seed on bare patches of grass in the field and generally tidy around. Back on the ferry tomorrow

I'm back on track! I've had a conversation with a chappie who has also done some research on my family name and believes the same connections as I do so I'm back onto fanciful imaginations as to how I can pin the theory down. Oh, and he has also given me copies of some wills to transcribe.

In the shed before entertaining some old friends who are visiting today. I am getting very close to a finish on the winch and the drive train, yesterday I made the permanent fixing of the outrigger bearing and winch base......

The winder is getting to look populated now! Still a lot to do but I can see it coming together. Today's job is turning this miserable little brass casting into a beautiful crank arm ready for fitting.

Busy making another princess dress for number 2 grand daughter. Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast. I raided the jewellery at the hospice shop for suitable adornments. I already had yellow fabric. I declined the request to make long length gloves as well!

Otherwise I have a few bits of art materials to buy at the Range and it's Pilates tonight. Generally a quiet day.

...fixing the tele. A couple of days ago I made good use of technology for a conversation with Ian (Panbiker) using Facebook Messenger. It all started when the tele in the spare room stopped working, I sent a couple of pictures, of the power supply circuit board, to Ian, he then asked me to look for anything unusual with some specific components and the fault was identified. See the hole on the left of the blue widget and the burn marks on the green capacitor in the foreground.

A replacement power supply board was sourced online yesterday, delivered by courier this morning and I fitted it this evening. £27.99 well spent and many thanks to Ian for sharing his knowledge.

Made the princess dress, it will be posted today. One very happy grand daughter. Art lunch and creative writing today, plus another meal out tonight. Have to be careful just got my weight back to normal .

Today has turned into an orgy of household and other tasks so the shed will get a no-show I'm afraid but I have shopping partially completed, bedding on the line outside and some other tasks in prospect. It will be a productive morning and clear decks afterwards for a while.
