1878
Built 1878 by Christopher Bracewell (son of William Bracewell (Billycock) Same architect and builder as the Wesleyan chapel. He died September 11 1889.

I think James Slater lived in Bank House at one time after C G Bracewell.

1892
James Moorhouse, who ran 650 looms in Wellhouse Mill, occupied Bank House and later built ‘The Knoll’ on the Bracewell Road.

1893
George Proctor noted as being of ‘Bank House’. GP was part of the firm of Proctor and Proctor at Burnley and owned much property and many shares in the area. Noted in Barrett Directory of 1896 as being at Bank House.

1922.
George Proctor dies. Apart from his other interests, at the time he was the biggest shareholder in the Calf Hall Shed Company.

1930
Report in the Craven Herald 10/01/1930 That Walter Wilkinson of Bank House had once more offered his house for use as a hospital for Barnoldswick.[The Isolation Hospital at Banks Hill on the Bracewell Road had been open since 1900. This offer of Bank House at Coates as a hospital was part of a long held ambition to provide a general hospital for the town. The Council had been discussing this for years and putting money aside in a separate account for the purpose.]

1961
House bought by Briggs and Duxbury. They demolished it shortly afterwards.
